Robert Frank Trzebiatowski, 78

Robert Frank Trzebiatowski, 78, of Stevens Point, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019.

Bob was born in Amherst to the late Frank and Genevieve (Konkol) Trzebiatowski. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1958.

After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1959 to 1963. After being honorably discharged, he went to work for Fisher’s Dairy, where he met Sandy Nowak. They were married October 8, 1966.

Bob worked for the Stevens Point Fire Department until he retired as a lieutenant after 25 years of service. After retirement, Bob worked for several other businesses, including Koch Oil and Freda’s Meat Market. He also worked with his friends Sonny and Fritz at Gollon’s Bait, then went on to work at Gollon Brothers.

Bob enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports teams on TV, crosswords, playing cards, reading any newspaper he could find, bowling, hunting, fishing and talking. Given the chance, he’d talk your ear off on current events and stories from “back in the day”.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy; and children, Lori, Brian, Lisa (Ron) Peskie and Kristin (Scott Knapp) Trzebiatowski. His grandchildren: Alyssa and Ryan Peskie and Kayden Knapp will miss their “Oh-No”. Bob is further survived by his brother, Al (Gayle); and sisters, Carol (Bob) Lea and Juanita (Lindy) Nott; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Good Samaritan who helped Bob at the bus stop by Copp’s East, the nurses and staff at the Atrium, the Oncology department at Ascension St. Michael’s and Ascension Hospice Care.

Per Bob’s wishes, no services will be held.
