Robert “Bob” G. Mansavage, 86

Robert “Bob” G. Mansavage, 86, of Stevens Point, died Jan. 28, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Bob was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Stevens Point to the late Michael and Tillie (née Wachowiak) Mansavage. He grew up in Stevens Point and attended local schools before beginning a lifelong career with Worzella Publishing. In addition to his professional work, Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army.

On Nov. 17, 1965, Bob married Donna (née Wanserski) Mansavage. Together, they built a loving home and raised a family, working as devoted and caring parents. The couple enjoyed traveling, fishing, and gardening, and they were dedicated Green Bay Packers fans. They also found great joy in feeding the birds at their home. Bob and Donna shared nearly 51 years of marriage before her death on Oct. 27, 2016.

Bob was known for his zest for life and appreciation of the simple joys that each day brought. He had a warm and welcoming presence and was a source of kindness and laughter for those around him. His love for family and his enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his son, Rick (Rebecca) Mansavage; and his cherished grandson, Connor. He is further survived by his siblings, Mary Ann (Robert) Kowalski, Dorothy (David) Kluck, Carol (Raymond) Zdroik, Marjorie (Mike) Bigalke, Thomas (Vicki) Mansavage, Shirlee (Donald) Schaefer, Eleanor (Michael) Mallek, Nancy (Kris) Konopacky, James (Kathy) Mansavage, Gary Mansavage, and Jeanett (Chris) Neuwirth.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his son, Craig Mansavage; and a brother, Don Mansavage.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, 3200 Plover Road in Plover. The Rev. Arturo Vigueras will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery.
