Riverfront Arts Center to showcase student talent at Emerging Artists Exhibition

STEVENS POINT – The Riverfront Arts Center will host its annual Emerging Artists Exhibition, featuring works by young artists in grades 7-12 from the Stevens Point area.

The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday, Feb. 28, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., and will be on display through Sunday, March 30, 2025.

The juried exhibition includes artwork curated by educators from Ben Franklin Junior High, Pacelli, P.J. Jacobs Junior High, Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH), Point of Discovery School (PoDS), and St. Paul Lutheran School. This year’s juror is Linda Mathes, an educator and artist with decades of experience integrating art into learning.

Award winners, selected with support from the Festival of the Arts through the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin and Art in the Park, will receive special recognition. Their work will also be showcased at Artists & Fare in Plover on Sunday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as part of the Stevens Point Area Festival of the Arts.

The Riverfront Arts Center is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed on holidays and between exhibitions.
