Riverfront Arts Center to host ‘The Studio’ opening Sept. 18

STEVENS POINT — The Riverfront Arts Center will open its newest exhibition, The Studio, on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The immersive show celebrates the art of making by recreating the working environments of local artists. Visitors will be able to step inside the studios of Ravi Barkey (ceramics), Barnplotter (pen plotting), Ryan Gaska (drawing/painting), Erin Prais-Hintz (mosaics), Twinky Satterthwaite (oil, acrylic, pastel), Roz Schuettpelz (quilting/appliqué), Toni Starr (painting/drawing) and Cate Thomding (repurposed/upcycled art).
The exhibition runs through Sunday, Oct. 19, and will conclude with a watercolor workshop led by artist Roberta Laine. The fee for the workshop is $100.
Riverfront Arts Center is located at 1200 Crosby Ave. in downtown Stevens Point. Admission is free, though donations are welcome. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is closed on holidays and between exhibitions.
