The Riverfront Arts Center will open the spring season with a watercolor exhibit.
The RAC is hosting the Wisconsin Watercolor Society next month, with over 30 works of art by 18 Wisconsin-based watercolor artists.
The exhibit opens Friday, May 13 with a reception from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Riverfront Arts Center, 1200 Crosby Ave. The exhibit will be open through Sunday, June 12.
The Wisconsin Watercolor Society is an arts organization founded by a group of local artists in 1952 and is the first organization exclusively devoted to watercolor painting. Its purpose is to demonstrate and exhibit meaningful development in the medium of watercolor and to serve as a catalyst for those genuinely interested in watercolor.
The RAC is open to the public, and there is no admission fee but donations are welcome.
The show will be open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The RAC is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, holidays, and in between exhibits.
The RAC can be reached by calling 715-343-6251 or emailing the center’s director, Katie Cramer, at [email protected].
