STEVENS POINT — Artists of all backgrounds are invited to celebrate the beauty of the season as the Riverfront Arts Center opens its annual call for entries for Winter’s Garden, a juried exhibition set to open later this month.

Artwork submissions will be accepted Jan. 8 and 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the arts center, 1200 Crosby Ave., in downtown Stevens Point. The exhibition is open to all media and encourages artists to share their own interpretation of the theme, Winter’s Garden. Both live and dried botanical arrangements are welcome as part of the submissions.

This year’s show will be juried by local artist Nancy Shefferly, who will curate the exhibition and provide feedback and critique to participating artists.

The exhibition will kick off with an opening reception from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16. Winter’s Garden will remain on display through Sunday, Feb. 22.

The Riverfront Arts Center is open to the public free of charge, though donations are welcome. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends. The center is closed on holidays and between exhibitions.

Artists seeking a submission form or additional information can visit stevenspoint.com/RAC, call 715-343-6251, or email Director Shannon Gardner at [email protected].
