Rita Annette Bean, 77

Rita Annette Bean, age 77, of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, died on January 9, 2022, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.

Rita was born on April 19, 1944, to the late Frank & Margaret (Zywicki) Feltz in Stevens Point. She attended the local schools and graduated from Maria High School in 1962.

She worked various jobs including at the Tempo Department Store, Ore-Ida, as a homemaker when the children were younger and also as a Home health care aide for numerous agencies until retirement.

On October 22, 1966, Rita married the love of her life Bennie Bean at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Stevens Point.

Rita was a social butterfly. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. Her children were her life. There was never a day that went by where she didn’t brag about all three of her beautiful children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, listening to polkas, and attending church picnics. But most of all, her loved ones will remember forever in their heart the beautiful smile she always had and the joke that was about to come out of her mouth …she was the life of the party.

Survivors include her children, Jerome Bean of Stevens Point, Randy Bean of Stevens Point, and Lori Bean (special friend, Jerry) of Chilton; sister, Barb (Jerry) Stanislawski; sister-in-law, Jeanette Kitowski; and grandchildren, Kevin Bean of Stevens Point, and Andrea Bean.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Bean; and sister-in-law, Emily Bembenek.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Boston Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Friday at Boston Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Casimir Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Town of Hull Fire, Rescue, and EMS; Stevens Point EMS, the emergency department, ICU, the second-floor ICM, and the fifth-floor nursing staff at St. Michael’s Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Huff and Dr. Soman for their wonderful care and communication with mom’s care along with the Palliative Care Team, Kay and Bonnie.
