Richard T. Brown, 80

Richard T. Brown, 80, of Stevens Point, died Sept. 2, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

Brown was born on Dec. 17, 1943, in Stevens Point to Alvin and Juanita (Grover) Brown. He married Frances Bemke on May 16, 1964, in Stevens Point, and they raised four children.

Brown spent more than 30 years working at the Consolidated Papers converting plant, living in Wisconsin Rapids and Plover during that time.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found joy in hunting, fishing, attending auctions, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He also loved tinkering in his garage, believing that anything could be fixed with a 2×4 and nails.

Brown is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances; his children, Trent (Kim) Brown of Wisconsin Rapids, Curt (Anita) Brown of Bethesda, Md., Trevor Brown of Plover, and Kim (Matt) Fischer of Wisconsin Rapids; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Hugh, Fritz, Jim, and Joe Brown; his sisters, Bonnie Losinski and Dixie Gray; and a great-granddaughter, Dakota Brown.
