Report: Stevens Point 10th worst-driving city in state

Wisconsin drivers are generally safe in comparison with other states, but drivers in Stevens Point are among the Badger State’s worst.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Wisconsin drivers below the national average—11.40—in road fatalities with 10.58 per 100,000 people in 2017.
Wisconsin typically ranks near the middle of all states in overall driver quality, but following recent analysis of more than 49,000 insurance quotes from drivers across the state, Stevens Point was rated as the 10th worst-driving community in the state. Mount Pleasant was ranked the worst in Wisconsin. Superior was the best-driving city.
Communities were ranked by the highest rate of incidents, including accidents, speeding tickets, OWIs, and other traffic-related citations.
Stevens Point ranks worse than larger communities like Wausau, Lacrosse, and South Milwaukee.
