Registration opens for YMCA’s 46th annual Frostbite Winter Run/Walk

Registration for the 46th annual Stevens Point Area YMCA Frostbite Run/Walk is now open.

The walk/run is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4. The non-competitive run is available in the five- or 10-mile distance and the walk is available in 2.5-mile or five-mile distances. Time chips are available.

The events will start at staggered times beginning at noon and will start and finish at the YMCA, 1000 Division St.

Participants can also compete on their own. A virtual option is also available to run or walk 2.5, 5, or 10 miles between Dec. 4-11 by logging their miles at the end of each week.

Participants who register before Nov. 18 will receive a long-sleeved race t-shirt. Registration is available at spymca.org/frostbite, or by searching “46th Annual Frostbite” at runsignup.com.

Everyone who completes their event at the YMCA will be entered into a prize drawing, and top finishers will receive special recognition. Participants are encouraged to dress festively.

The YMCA is also seeking volunteers to help during the event. Anyone interested should email [email protected].
