Registration opens for YMCA summer camp

Registration has opened for summer fun at Camp Glacier Hollow.

The YMCA summer camp, located about 15 minutes east of Stevens Point has resumed summer activities after closing last year for the pandemic.

Boys and girls ages 5-17 will “build self-confidence, independence, and creativity while parents have peace of mind knowing their kids are in a safe and enriching environment,” a press release from the YMCA said.

The camp will offer weekly themes and traditional camp activities, including swimming, canoeing, hiking, games, outdoor cooking, fishing, arts and crafts, and more/

Registration is available at https://www.glacierhollow.com/. Financial assistance is available for all summer programs.

COVID safety precautions have been implemented at the camp, including limited capacity, social distancing, face coverings, and increased cleaning.

 

SUMMER AT THE Y DAY CAMP (AGES 5-7)

  • Held at the Stevens Point Area YMCA
  • Register for the days and weeks you need (3-day minimum)
  • June 14-August 27, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(No Day Camp June 7-11 or August 30-September 3)

CAMP GLACIER HOLLOW DAY CAMP (AGES 7-12)

  • Held at YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow in Amherst Junction
  • Register for the days and weeks you need (3-day minimum)
  • June 14-August 27, Monday–Friday 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Fees include transportation to and from the YMCA, along with lunch and snacks
  • Bus departs the YMCA promptly at 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

(No Day Camp June 7-11 or August 30-September 3)

CAMP GLACIER HOLLOW RESIDENT/OVERNIGHT CAMP (AGES 7-14)

  • Held at YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow in Amherst Junction
  • Shorter weeks available for Beginning Explorers
  • June 13-August 20
  • Tiered pricing for all Resident Camps

LEADER OR COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAMS (AGES 12-17)

  • Held at YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow in Amherst Junction, WI
  • Training Camp is 5 days plus 1 night
