Mid-State Technical College is hosting three virtual summer camps to introduce middle and high school students to explore exciting career choices in today’s engineering and manufacturing industries as well as entrepreneurial concepts and skills.

Sponsored in part by Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, with additional support from Mid-State business partners, the Summer Engineering and Manufacturing Camps are ideal for students entering 9th and 10th grade and run Monday through Saturday throughout August, as follows:

August 3 – 8: Manufacturing Fidget Toys – 3D Printing and Design

August 10 – 15: What “Stuff” Is Made Of – Topics in Materials Science

August 17 – 22: Satellites, Water Pollution, and Lasers: An Exploration of Civil, Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering

All three camps combine live online instruction with open lab time where the student will have work time with an open connection to the instructor. Optional online office hours are available for students to have further discussion on camp topics and to ask questions or get assistance.
