Registration now open for ‘Run from the Cops’ 5K

The fifth annual Run/Walk From The Cops 5K is scheduled for Sept. 22, and registration is now open.
The family-friendly fun run/walk is hosted by the Stevens Point Police Officers Organization.
The course runs along city streets and part of the Green Circle Trail, beginning and ending at the Portage Co. Courthouse. The event has several age brackets, with additional prizes awarded for the best villain costume.
Earlybird registration is $25 and ends Sept. 13. After that, registration is $35 until the day of the race.
Proceeds from last year’s race were awarded to WSPT’s Christmas is for Children, Cops N’ Bobbers, Playhouse Theater Corporation, Royal Family Kids Camp, SPASH/Pacelli Project Graduation, and the Portage County K9 fund.
