STEVENS POINT – The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County has named Kevin Quevillon as the 2025 recipient of the Anne G. Schierl “Above & Beyond Award,” recognizing his decades of service and dedication to local youngsters.

Quevillon founded the Portage County chapter of the Boys & Girls Club in 2002 and led its expansion to 11 locations, including four in rural communities. Under his leadership, the club grew to serve thousands of children with after-school programs, mentoring, and access to resources that support academic and personal growth.

He also spearheaded the creation of the Guided Pathways to Success Center, which provides critical support for at-risk teens, and helped forge partnerships with local universities to give students opportunities to work directly with young people.

“Kevin’s dedication, vision, creativity, and belief in our mission has touched countless lives, and continues to inspire all of us who carry this work forward today,” said Danielle Belsky, current CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County. “He is not just a leader; he is a force for good, a mentor, and a true champion for every child in Portage County.”

In 2021, Quevillon was inducted into the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wisconsin Hall of Fame for his statewide impact on youth development. Though he has since taken a position with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the local organization said his legacy “will never be forgotten.”

The Anne G. Schierl “Above & Beyond Award” honors individuals who exemplify servant leadership and go beyond expectations to improve the lives of children and families in Portage County.

The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County serves more than 2,000 youth at 11 locations in Stevens Point, Plover, Junction City, Rosholt, Amherst, and Almond/Bancroft. For more information or to donate, visit www.bgclubpc.org.
