Public Comment Period Currently Open For Chippewa Flowage Joint Agency Management Plan Update

As part of the process to update the Chippewa Flowage Joint Agency Management Plan, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), in partnership with the United States Forest Service (Forest Service) and Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa (LCO), opened a public comment period on Dec. 16, 2024.

Members of the public are invited to engage in the early stages of this unique joint agency planning process by providing input on how they use the flowage and the topics they consider important to update the management plan. Comments can be submitted through Jan. 31, 2025, using the following methods:

  2. Submit a hard-copy public input form. This form can be downloaded online and mailed to:
