Precision Glass & Door is preparing to move, thanks to an upcoming road-widening project.

Owner Don Turzinski said the new facility will house a storefront, customer service office, dedicated delivery bays and a larger production floor. The new building, he said, will be about twice the size of its current location at 2326 Post Road.

The business will lose most of it’s parking lot in the ongoing Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation project that rebuilds Bus. 51 between Hwy. 54 in Plover and Minnesota Ave. at the southernmost tip of Stevens Point.

The construction has caused several businesses along the corridor to either relocate or close. The first phase of the project was completed in Plover last year, and will occur in Whiting starting in 2018.

Turzinski said his company, which specializes in custom shower doors and custom glass, will hold a large grand opening celebration at its new location sometime next spring.
