POTD: Gettin’ ready for the big show

The lights are installed annually prior to the annual downtown Christmas parade. This year’s parade is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m.

This year’s theme, “It’s a Wonderful Downtown,” promises a nostalgic nod to classic holiday movies.

The parade, organized by Downtown Stevens Point, will feature floats from dozens of local businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Attendees are encouraged to stake out their spot along Main St. early to enjoy the vibrant displays and community spirit—and dress for the weather.
