POTD: Even Luna was excited

The crew from Partner’s Pub presents Stevens Point Police Office JD Ballew with a check for nearly $5,000 on July 1.

Mark Czech, Jim Sadlemyer, Rob Konkol, and Annette Glodowski presented Ballew and his K9 partner, Luna, with a check for $4,968.

Pub owners Sadlemyer and Konkol said the funds were raised during the bar’s annual fundraiser golf outing. The 18-hole scramble was held June 8 at the Wisconsin River Golf Course and attracted about 80 golfers.

SPPD has two Belgian Malinois K-9 dogs, Luna and Fala, specially trained in drug detection, search, and apprehension. The K9 program was launched in April 2018.
