PLOVER — The Portage County Historical Society (PCHS) will host a benefit concert, “Once in a Lifetime: A Portage County All-Star Reunion Concert,” on March 22 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Springville Sports Barn in Plover.

The event will feature performances by local bands and musicians who have not played together in years, including Circus, Daddy Whiskers, Generic Blues and Boogie, Safety Last String Band, Tom Pease, Can’t Lie Low Trio, Stevens Point Barbershoppers, and Music Express.

Proceeds will support the Historical Society’s upcoming exhibit, “Rhythms of the River: The History of Music in Portage County.” The exhibit, set to open in May 2025 at Heritage Park in Plover, will explore the county’s musical history, from its early roots to its modern-day influences.

Tickets go on sale to the public Jan. 31 at 11 a.m., with early access for PCHS members beginning Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. Membership information is available at www.pchswi.org/membership.
