Didn’t stop: A 78-year-old man was issued a warning for running a red light in a school zone near Jefferson and Division streets at 8:10 a.m.
Warranted: A 55-year-old man with an active warrant was arrested from his probation officer’s office on the 1000 block of Maple Bluff Dr. at 8:15 a.m. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Speeder: A 23-year-old man was cited for speeding at Division and Portage streets at 8:33 a.m., but no additional details were provided in the blotter.
Homeless problems: Police were called to Franciscans, 1000 Main St., at 11:37 a.m., when a caller reported two people under a protection order had made contact. One person was arrested, but details were redacted from the blotter.
Fraud: Police took a report of fraud from a 70-year-old woman at 11:58 a.m.
Weedy: Police were called to the downtown library at 12:11 p.m. when a caller reported that a library security officer suspected an unknown man had passed something that “smelled like weed” to a known man, age 34. Dog bite: A 45-year-old man called police to the 2100 block of Madison St. at 4:14 p.m. when he said a neighbor’s dog bit him.
Speeder: Police issued a warning to a 52-year-old man for speeding 16 miles over the posted speed limit at Division St. North and Academy Dr. at 6:24 p.m.
Who knows: Police stopped a 29-year-old man at Hwy. 66 and Airport Rd. at 8:34 p.m. for reasons that were entirely redacted from the blotter.
Only a warning?: Police stopped a 32-year-old woman near Michigan Ave. and Stanley St. at 10:07 p.m. for “2HL,” which we think could mean “two headlights.” According to the blotter, the officer was informed that the driver had “incorrect plates” on the vehicle, and the woman was “advised to stop driving the vehicle, since she was borrowing it.”
Chaser: A 29-year-old woman called police to Main and Third streets at 10:35 p.m. to report that an unknown man yelled “Hey” and “chased her car as she left downtown.
Wrong-way: A 20-year-old man was issued a written warning at Main and Reserve streets for driving the wrong way.

Speed: A 23-year-old man was cited for speeding in a school zone near Division and Madison streets at 8:20 a.m. No word on how fast he was going.
Stop: A 35-year-old woman was cited for running a red light at Division and Ellis streets at 8:33 a.m.
Jerk: A 34-year-old woman called police to complain that a crossing guard had stopped traffic on Michigan Ave. when a student was crossing on Rice St. at 9:38 a.m.
We will rock you: Police were called to Division St. North and Academy Ave. at 11:03 a.m. when someone reported an individual throwing a rock at a truck, causing damage. But every other piece of information was redacted from the blotter for reasons unknown.
Not a smart idea: Police were asked to check on suspicious activity at the dumpster behind the Wisconsin Army National Guard Armory, 3116 Jefferson St., at 11:04 a.m. The man, 27, said he was “looking for food.” The man was advised that he could not go through the armory’s dumpster and moved along.
No idea: Police were called to Metro Market, 1500 Pinecrest Ave., at 12:22 p.m. for a “property crime,” but all details were confusingly redacted from the blotter.
Homeless soap opera: Police were called to Franciscans, 1000 Main St., at 12:52 p.m. when a 36-year-old man reported that a third party, a homeless woman, told him that another man, 40, also homeless, threatened to drag the first man into the woods and beat him up.
Drunk: Police checked on the welfare of an intoxicated man, 56, on the 900 block of Bliss Ave., at 2:32 p.m. The man said he was OK and did not need any help.
Grand theft: A 21-year-old man who’d reportedly stolen a car and driven into the city was arrested near Division and Main streets at 3:21 p.m. For some reason, additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Break-in while in the slammer: A 32-year-old woman reported to police at 3:05 p.m. that three people known to her reportedly broke into her Second St. apartment while she was in jail. Again, the details were redacted from the blotter.
Wannabe rocker: Police were called to Union St. and Maria Dr. at 4:29 p.m. when a caller reported a 42-year-old man was throwing rocks at passing cars. Additional details were not included in the blotter.
Return of the Amarillo Slim: Police responded to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Ice Hawk’s Arena, 801 Badger Ave., at 6:56 p.m. The man, 65, told police he was playing poker on his phone in the car. Officers explained to that man that while he wasn’t doing anything illegal, it didn’t sit well with some people that a grown man without kids was sitting in the parking lot where kids were playing soccer.
Tantrum: Police were called to the 2900 block of Fifth Ave. at 7:16 because a child, whose age was redacted from the blotter, was “throwing a fit” because his parents were making him read and do homework. Officers counseled the boy on his behavior.
Bad plate: A 16-year-old boy was issued a warning for driving without lights and having an unreadable plate near Church St. and Michigan Ave. at 9:40 p.m.
Speed Racer: A 19-year-old man was cited for driving 49 in a 25 mph zone near Minnesota Ave. and Church St. at 11:09 p.m.
Parking: A city parks employee reported to police that a vehicle had been parked “for several days” in the same spot at the McDill Disc Golf Course, 4001 Patch St., at 11:03 p.m. A citation was left on the windshield.
