Suspicious: A 38-year-old woman called police to the 2100 block of Oak St. at 8:59 p.m. to report a suspicious man in a silver SUV who, after parking, walked halfway up her driveway, then turned around when he noticed her husband.
What the heck: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on the 2700 block of Soo Marie Ave. at 9:56 p.m. Officers made contact with the person in question, a 36-year-old man. All the blotter said about the call was that the man “said his gout has flared up. He will contact the school.”
Probation violation: Police arrested a 32-year-old man on a probation violation from the 1000 block of Maple Bluff Rd. at 10:35 p.m.
Podcast fan: A 70-year-old woman called police to complain about loud noise coming from a neighbor on the 600 block of John’s Dr. at 11:09 a.m. It turned out that the neighbor, a 37-year-old woman, was merely listening to a loud podcast. She agreed to keep it down.
Not really the manager: Police were called to University Inn and Suites (formerly EconoLodge), 5110 Main St., at 11:19 a.m. when a 62-year-old man who claimed to be a hotel manager was asked to leave when it was discovered he wasn’t actually the regional manager as he claimed.
Huh?: Police issued a citation to a 36-year-old man for “ride play vehicle on roadway” near Water St. and Whiting Ave. at 1:43 p.m.
Police responded to a two-vehicle collision near Michigan Ave. and Peck St. at 3:08 p.m. No additional details were included in the blotter.
Drunk and homeless: Police conducted a welfare check at KASH Park, 1201 West Whitney St., at 3:28 p.m. The 59-year-old man they were checking on was “intoxicated but coherent and did not want any assistance.”
Rumormonger: Police were called to the 300 block of West Cornell Ave. at 3:40 p.m. when someone reported a 34-year-old woman was “spreading rumors about her daughter,” but additional details were redacted from the blotter.
We can’t really tell you: Police were called to Madison Elementary, 600 Maria Dr., at 4:23 p.m. for what was listed in the blotter as a “missing person,” but officers made contact with a 35-year-old woman who would “speak with the bus garage regarding bus issues and try to come to [an] understanding.”
Drag racing: Police attempted to make contact at a residence on the 3100 block of Whiting Ave. at 6:38 p.m. with someone believed to be drag racing a short time earlier. No one answered the door, but the car was still warm to the touch.
Deer dumper: Police were called to Fuel On (formerly The Store) at 1201 Badger Ave. at 6:40 p.m. when an employee reported that someone had illegally disposed of a deer in the dumpster. The employee agreed to call back after reviewing the camera footage.
Headlights: A 27-year-old man was issued a written warning for driving without headlights near Patch St. and Bush Ct. at 7:44 p.m.
Lights and more: A 41-year-old man was issued a written warning for driving without headlights, having an illegible plate, and not having proof of insurance near Division St. and Sixth Ave. at 7:51 p.m.
Repo: Police stood by as a tow company repo’d a car on the 700 block of West River Dr. at 7:29 p.m.
Loud TV: Police were called to the 600 block of John’s Dr. at 10:02 p.m. when a caller complained about a neighbor’s loud television. The offending woman agreed to turn it down.
Lights: A 20-year-old man was issued a written warning for driving without headlights and not having proof of insurance on the 1600 block of Maria Dr. at 10:10 p.m.

Homeless: Police were called to the 1100 block of Johnson Dr. at 3:34 a.m. for suspicious activity. It turned out to be a known 35-year-old woman living in a storage unit there who said she had no other place to go.
Hammertime, or Misery?: A 44-year-old man called police to the 800 block of West Clark St. at 4:19 a.m. to report that he woke up to a 44-year-old woman “swinging a hammer at his feet.” The woman was not present when officers arrived. No additional details were included in the blotter.
