October 31
Na-cho property: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 8:48 a.m., when a 26-year-old man entered the store, opened three bags of nacho chips, grabbed a can of Red Bull, then left without paying.
Troublemaker: A 77-year-old man was banned for two weeks from returning to the Lincoln Center, 1519 Water St., at 9:08 a.m. after causing a disturbance.
Crash: A two-vehicle crash was reported on the 600 block of Isadore St. at 10:57 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Problems with kids: A parent called police at 10:47 a.m. to report that a bus driver “grabbed” her son’s arm. Officers were still investigating.
Whatta troublemaker: Police were called to the downtown library at 11:18 a.m. after a known 39-year-old homeless man, who was previously banned from the property, caused a disturbance after being allowed inside to call the Salvation Army. He reportedly threw a pencil and knocked over a chess piece.
Not supposed to drive: A 24-year-old woman was cited for driving without a license and arrested for violating a judge’s order that she not drive, following a single-vehicle collision at Division and Main streets at 1:21 p.m.
Weed: Police were called to KASH Park at 4:22 p.m. when a caller reported “7-10 homeless people smoking weed.” Officers found no evidence of marijuana.
Porch pirate: A 50-year-old man called police to the 1500 block of College Ave. at 5:58 p.m. to report a package had been stolen from his porch, and that he had video of the incident.
Non-stopper: Police warned a 17-year-old girl for failure to stop at a stop sign near Illinois Ave. and College Ave. at 7:47 p.m.
Burglary: Police were called to Cozy Kitchen, 1338 Third St., at 7:51 p.m. for a report of a burglary after the fact. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.

Must be some party: Police were called to Graffiti’s, 912 Main St., at 10:52 p.m. when a caller reported that a line of customers going out the door was blocking traffic. Officers moved the line onto the sidewalk.
Homeless: Police were called to Mead Park at 11:09 p.m. when someone reported homeless people in the park after hours.
Underage: Police cited a 19-year-old man for underage drinking at a party on the 2300 block of College Ave. at 11:08 p.m.
Attempted rip-off: Police were called when Chris’ Towing responded to provide a jump to a 59-year-old man whose car died at Kwik Trip on Church St. The man said he couldn’t pay, then drove off. Chris’ Towing followed the man to the Skipps’ Bowling parking lot and called police. Officers contacted the man by phone, who was inside Congress Club. The man then agreed to come outside and pay.

Not a zombie attack, probably: Police were called to the 3300 block of Olympia Ave. at 12:13 a.m. when a caller reported that a 30-year-old woman “bit a chunk out of a male’s head.” The woman was arrested for domestic abuse.
Underagers: Police cited several underage drinking citations to minors at Main and Division St. at 1:17 a.m.
Homeless: Police responded to Mead Park at 1:34 a.m. and found homeless people sleeping in the park. They were told to move along and clean up the trash in the area.
Bunch of jerks: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 2:43 a.m. when a caller reported “about 30 cars in the lot and the inside was packed,” with a group of people reportedly threatening a cashier. The group was gone when an officer arrived.
Lost: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a 23-year-old woman at Ellis and Church streets at 3:35 a.m. The woman had been left behind by her friends during an outing downtown. The woman was given a ride to a local hotel.
Homeless: Police moved along a 62-year-old woman who was sleeping in the doorway on the 1100 block of Main St. at 10:54 a.m.
No info: Police responded to SPASH, 1201 North Point Dr., at 12:16 p.m. when someone reported a person making threats there. Details of the call were redacted from the blotter.
Trespassers: Police were called to the 3400 block of Church St. at 3:07 p.m. when someone reported trespassers keeping their belongings in a storage unit there. The duo, both homeless, claimed the renter gave them permission and that they were only waiting for the warming shelter to open.
Fraud: A 23-year-old woman called police to the 3200 block of Whiting Ave. at 3:19 p.m. to report her debit card had been stolen the night before, and someone had charged $42 at The Classroom Bar in downtown Stevens Point.
Drugged: A 19-year-old woman called police to the 1300 block of Portage St. at 4:05 p.m. to report she believed she may have been drugged at a party the night before.
Homeless: Police were called to the 1200 block of Strongs Ave. at 5:52 p.m. when a property owner complained about homeless people sleeping in the vestibule. The people were moved along.
Help: Police were called to check on suspicious activity at the downtown warming shelter at Frame Memorial Church at 8:07 p.m. A 44-year-old woman said she merely wanted to ensure any homeless people who couldn’t get into the shelter for the night were supplied with a sleeping bag.
Noise: Police were called to the 1700 block of Main St. at 10:58 p.m. for loud music coming from an apartment. The tenant agreed to turn it down.
Really?: Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in Bukolt Park at 11:37 p.m. The occupants, an 18-year-old woman and a juvenile, told police they were “watching TikTok in their car so they didn’t have to go home.” The two were advised to stay out of the parks after the 11 p.m. closing time.

Clever: Police conducted a welfare check at Taco Bell, 433 Division St., at 12:03 a.m. when a man was standing outside the restaurant. It turns out the man ordered food via DoorDash because the lobby was closed, and he was only waiting for his order.
Wrong-way: Police issued a written warning to a 19-year-old man who was driving the wrong way near Third and Main streets at 2:04 a.m.
Wrong house: Police responded to the 1500 block of Pine St. at 5:35 a.m. when a 65-year-old woman reported that an unknown man, 19, was sleeping on her couch. Additional details were not included in the blotter.
Rockets red glare: A 49-year-old woman called police to the 2900 block of Kozy St. at 9:05 a.m. to report that a “large firework” was shot from the passenger seat of a small red SUV before the vehicle quickly drove away with its headlights off. Residents in the area reported that the sound “shook their houses,” but no damage could be found.
Coffee fight: Police were called to University Inn and Suites, 5110 Main St., at 11:02 a.m., when a disturbance was reported. A 32-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman reportedly got into an argument over the woman’s decision not to put a lid on her coffee cup. She responded to the man’s concerns by throwing the coffee into the man’s face and his car upholstery. The man declined to press charges.
Oh, my: A 45-year-old man called police to the 2600 block of Sunset Blvd. at 1:50 p.m. to report he was being blackmailed for sending flirtatious messages via text.
Dirt bikes: Police were called to the 2100 block of Prairie St. at 2:14 p.m. when a neighbor complained that two boys were riding dirt bikes on the 900 block of Shaurette St. The boys were warned against riding the bikes on the road, and their father was notified.
Didn’t want help: Police conducted a welfare check on a 68-year-old homeless man sleeping in the rain on the 1400 block of Water St. at 9:23 p.m. Officers advised him that the warming shelter was open, but the man said he was OK.

Speeder: A 19-year-old man was cited for driving 46 in a 25 mph zone near Division St. and Sixth Ave. at 7:39 a.m.
