Not a hit and run: Deputies were called to Kwik Trip, 5339 Harding Ave., at 7:25 a.m., when a 72-year-old man reported damage to his vehicle following a hit and run. After reviewing security footage, deputies discovered the damage was already present when the man arrived at the gas station.
Stalker: A 48-year-old woman reported to police at 9:38 a.m. that she was being stalked on the 3300 block of Alder St.
Troublemaker: Police were called to the downtown library at 10:42 a.m. when a 40-year-old woman was yelling inside the library and causing a disturbance. The woman was trespassed from the building.
Unrequited: Deputies were called to Emy J’s Coffee Vault in Park Ridge at 12:10 p.m. after a report of a customer whose behavior made a barista uncomfortable. The man, 58, a regular customer, had given the barista flowers and a note containing a poem and a personal message, and even attended the barista’s volleyball game. The shop’s owner told him he was no longer welcome and should not contact employees. The man told police he hadn’t meant to make anyone uneasy and that his intentions “were only to be friendly.” He was formally trespassed from the business and advised not to contact any of the baristas. No charges were filed.
Park speeder: A 16-year-old boy was cited for speeding in Bukolt Park at 12:29 p.m. No word on how fast the boy was going.
Help: Police responded, with medics, for a medical emergency on the 300 block of West Cornell Ave. at 12:31 p.m.
Crash: An 18-year-old woman was cited following a two-vehicle collision on the 1200 block of Robin Ln. at 1:42 p.m.
Sexual assault: Police took a report of a sexual assault at 2:46 p.m.
Trespassed for fishing: Police trespassed a man from the 700 block of Arlington Pl. at 3:22 p.m. when the man, 63, was fishing in an unsafe location and on private property.
Homeless: Police were called to the 200 block of West Clark St. at 4:16 p.m. when an employee of a gas station there found a backpack, a tent, and trash discarded in the back of the store.
Shoplifter: Police cited an 18-year-old man for shoplifting at Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, at 6:19 p.m. No word on what the man allegedly took.
Crash: One woman, 29, was cited following a collision at Maria Dr. and Second St. at 6:30 p.m.
Lost: Police were called to the 300 block of Union St. when a 45-year-old man reported that he’d lost his phone, and that it was pinging near the 1000 block of Williams St. at 7:28 p.m.
Burner: Police were called to the 2100 block of Madison St. at 8:30 p.m. when a woman reported a towel was burning on her porch. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Squatter: A 60-year-old man called police to the 1100 block of West River Dr. at 9 p.m. to report someone was squatting at a home there. Police found evidence of someone living in the garage, along with some illicit substances. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.

Busted: Police were called to the 1400 block of Water St. when someone reported a known 68-year-old man sleeping in the doorway of an apartment building at 12:58 p.m. The man had an open warrant and was taken under arrest.
