May 25
12:30 a.m., A suspicious vehicle was reported in a bank parking lot on the 3100 block of Hoover Rd.
1:33 p.m., Deputies cited a 23-year-old man for speeding, operating while revoked and violating a license restriction on the 4700 block of County Trunk J.
2:14 a.m., A caller reported a motorist “tore around the parking lot” at SPASH, 1201 North Point Dr., then after several burnouts, left.
8:26 a.m., Police cited the 32-year-old male passenger of a vehicle stopped near Minnesota and College avenues for possession of drug paraphernalia.
1:01 p.m., Deputies conducted a welfare check on a man walking on I-39, near mile marker 148, with a bear trap “on his leg”. The man was also walking with a small child in tow. No further information was immediately available.
3:21 p.m., Police cited a 22-year-old man for driving through a red light near Highway 10 and Maple Bluff Rd.
10:07 p.m., A caller in Amherst contacted deputies to report teenagers were running around residents’ yards on the 400 block of McKinley Court.
10:15 p.m., A 47-year-old man was arrested for his third OWI offense at 4 Park Ridge Dr.
May 26
3:20 a.m., Police cited a 20-year-old woman for underage drinking near Main and Reserve streets.
7:13 a.m., An 18-year-old man called the police to report his car and home on the 300 block of Forest St. North had been egged by unknown persons. The man told police it had happened several times before.
7:14 a.m., A 24-year-old man was cited for speeding, failure to keep his vehicle under control and operating without insurance following a slide-in a North Reserve St. and Dubay Ave.
2 p.m., A 37-year-old woman reported her purse was stolen from the 1100 block of Main St.
3:28 p.m., Police arrested a 33-year-old man from Perkins Restaurant, 127 Division St., after a disturbance in the parking lot there. Charges include battery, domestic abuse, strangulation, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct.
7:47 p.m., Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on the 1500 block of County Trunk HH.
9:01 p.m., Police arrested a 58-year-old man for OWI near Patch St. and Michigan Ave.
11:57 p.m., Deputies arrested a 20-year-old for underage drinking from the 1500 block of Torun Rd.
11:25 p.m., Two men, 20 and 21, and two women, 18 and 20, were warned for being in Lake DuBay Park after hours when a caller reported the group’s campfire on the beach.
May 27
4:09 a.m., a woman reported to Portage Co. deputies that her husband had been missing for four hours from the 3900 block of Park Dr. in Amherst. The police blotter reports the two were later “happily reunited”.
9:33 a.m., Plover police were dispatched to the intersection of County Trunk HH and I-39 for the report of a bike-v-car accident.
11:32 a.m., Police arrested a 46-year-old woman from SPASH, 1201 North Point Dr., on five counts of theft. No further information was immediately available.
8:53 p.m., Deputies were called to a residence at County Trunk A and Hwy 66 after a 55-year-old man reported an assault and robbery.
May 28
12:15 a.m., Deputies responded to Lake Dubay after a caller reported several people in the water near the boat landing. The group was warned for being in the park after hours.
1:59 p.m., A 47-year-old man reported someone had broken his truck window on the 5400 block of Pinewood Dr. in Stevens Point.
