May 16
Harassment: Police were called to the 600 block of John’s Dr. at 8:39 a.m. when a 38-year-old woman reported being harassed by a 34-year-old man.
Crash: A 71-year-old woman was cited for failure to yield at a flashing yellow light following a two-vehicle collision at Hwy. 10 East and Brilowski Rd. at 9:07 a.m.
Repeat visit to Trinity: Police were called to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1410 Rogers St., at 10:07 a.m., when a 49-year-old woman walked past and made inappropriate comments towards the children. The woman was trespassed from the property, but later told police she didn’t remember doing it.
Homeless: Police were called to Mead Park, 1001 West River Dr., at 11:33 a.m. when a caller complained about homeless people loitering in the park. The homeless people said they would leave.
Crash: Two people, a 60-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, were involved in a collision at the North Point roundabout at 11:53 a.m.
EMS: Police and paramedics were called to the downtown square at 12:17 p.m. for a homeless person who appeared intoxicated and in need of assistance.
OWI: A 60-year-old woman was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated near Illinois Ave. and Sims Ave. at 3:41 p.m.
Tupperware panic: Police responded to the 2400 block of Fourth Ave. at 4:23 p.m. when a 33-year-old woman having a paranoid attack reported a van parked near her home that she believed to be her ex. The van belonged to a Tupperware distributor.
Fight: Police were called to Emerson Park, 1401 East Ave., at 4:29 p.m. when two juvenile males were involved in a fight. Both were transported to Aspirus for a medical check and found to be uninjured. Neither boy wanted to file charges.
Kent-tastrophy: A 44-year-old woman called police to complain that her vehicle was damaged by Kent’s Towing on the 100 block of Division St. North at 6:18 p.m.
Vulgarity: Police were observing a kids’ baseball game at Mead Park, 1001 West River Dr., at 7:30 p.m. when they heard a group of people using loud, vulgar language nearby. The officers asked the people to keep their language down.
In the dark: Police issued a verbal warning to an 82-year-old man for driving without headlights near Prais St. and Clayton Ave. at 8:45 p.m.
No lights, again: A 55-year-old man was issued a written warning for driving without headlights near Clark and Rogers streets at 9:01 p.m.
Creepy: Police were called to KASH Park, 1201 West Whitney St., at 9:13 p.m. when a caller reported a suspicious man in his 60s trying to play tag with children. No further details were included in the blotter.
Dumpster diving: Police were called to check on suspicious activity on the 100 block of Crossroads Dr. behind Game Stop and The Tobacco Outlet at 10:01 p.m. It turned out to be two juveniles who were dumpster diving. The duo was warned.
Drunk: Police were called to Elbow Room, 1321 Second St., for a disruptive man in the bar at 10:46 p.m. The man left on his bicycle. No further details were included in the blotter.
Not welcome: A 43-year-old intoxicated man was ejected from Congress Club, 1200 Park St., at 11:01 p.m. The man was given a ride to a local hotel for the night.
Fighter: Police arrested a 27-year-old man for disorderly conduct after he was “being aggressive and attempting to start fights with people” at Icon, 956 Main St., at 11:30 p.m.
May 17
Drunk: Police responded to Blue Top, 3421 Church St., at 12:32 a.m. when two people were involved in a verbal altercation. Police warned that another call could result in one of them being arrested.
Third OWI: A 31-year-old man was arrested for third-offense OWI near Third and Main streets at 2:37 a.m.
Public relief: A 46-year-old homeless woman was cited after officers observed her urinating in the bushes on the south side of the downtown library at 3:04 a.m.
Trespassers, probably: Police were called to Mead Park at 8:20 a.m. after a 64-year-old woman reported trespassers, but no details were included in the blotter.
Shoplifter: Police cited a 16-year-old boy for retail theft over $50 after he was caught shoplifting from Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, at 10:01 a.m. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Attempted shoplifting: Police were called to Metro Market, 1500 Pinecrest Ave., at 10:25 a.m., when a man attempted to leave the store with unpaid alcohol. No additional details were included in the blotter.
Child abuse: A city councilwoman called police to report suspected child abuse on the 700 block of Soo Marie Ave. at 11:36 a.m., after a constituent called her to complain about a parking issue in the neighborhood.
Repeat offender: A 43-year-old man, who’d previously been kicked out of a downtown bar, attempted to steal “multiple 50 ml bottles of liquor” from Metro Market, 1500 Pinecrest Ave., at 11:46 a.m. The business did not wish to pursue charges but asked for the man to be banned from the property.
Hypothermic: Police and paramedics responded to KASH Park, 1201 West Whitney St., at 4:08 p.m. when a 38-year-old homeless man reported feeling hypothermic. The man was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
OWI: Police arrested a 47-year-old man for OWI/causing injury following a two-vehicle collision near Clark St. and Wyatt Ave. at 7:55 p.m.
Threats: Police were called to Goerke Park, 1100 Minnesota Ave., at 9:13 p.m. when it was reported that there was “serious trash talking between both teams,” and that one player was planning to fight with the opposing team’s coach after the game. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Trespasser: Police were called to the 1300 block of Main St. at 9:59 p.m. when a property owner complained about an unwanted man on their property. The man was trespassed.
Not noisey: Someone called police to Emerson Park, 1401 East Ave., at 10:08 p.m. to complain that four men were playing loud music while playing basketball. Officers did not observe any excessive noise and advised the players that the park closed at 11.
May 18
Punched: Police were called to Brick Haus, 1343 Second St., at 1:55 a.m. when a caller reported he’d been punched by a man he did not know. No additional details were included in the blotter.
Theft: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 3258 Church St., at 3:17 a.m. for a 30-year-old man who took a slice of pizza and an energy drink and refused to pay. He was asked to leave but returned a short time later, again taking an energy drink. He was arrested for retail theft.
Creep: Police were called to the 700 block of Fourth Ave. at 12:41 p.m. when a caller reported an unknown male was “on a bike enticing children.” Officers were unable to locate the man, but some details of the call were redacted from the blotter.
Shoplifters: Two women, ages 22 and 24, were cited for retail theft after being caught shoplifting from Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, at 2:14 p.m. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Trespasser: Police were called to Erberst and Gerberts, 812 Main St., at 5:25 p.m. for a known homeless woman, age 46, who was previously banned from the property. The woman was located elsewhere downtown and was formally issued a no-trespass order.
