March 7
Oops: Police were called to Enterprise Rent-a-Car, 5509 Hwy. 10 East, at 8:19 a.m. when a 45-year-old backed into a parked car.
Suspicious: Police were called to the downtown library, 1001 Main St., at 8:54 a.m. when a caller reported suspicious behavior from a known 59-year-old man. No other details were included in the blotter.
Disturbance: Police responded to the 400 block of West Karner St. for a disturbance at 9:20 a.m. No other details were included in the blotter.
Crash: A 37-year-old woman reported a crash at Fremont and Stanley streets at 9:35 a.m. but no additional details were included in the blotter.
Crash: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on the off-ramp to I-39 near exit 158 at 11:35 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Neighbor problems: Police were called to the 3800 block of Robert’s Pl. at 12:03 p.m. when a 24-year-old woman complained that her neighbor may have scratched the hood of her car. It’s the latest in an ongoing neighbor dispute over loud music, the woman said.
Domestic: Police were called to the 2900 block of Dixon St. at 12:37 p.m. when a 53-year-old man reported a disturbance between him and his wife the week before.
Disturbance: Police responded to the Franciscans, 1000 Main St., at 12:48 p.m. for a disturbance, but no details were included in the blotter.
Counterfeit: An employee at Stevens Point Orthopedic, 500 Vincent St., called police at 2:30 p.m. to report a male customer unwittingly used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for services. Officers took the counterfeit bill into evidence.
Who knows: A 45-year-old woman called police to report a disturbance at Walgreens, 3301 Church St., at 4:46 p.m., but no details were included in the blotter.
Roommate problems: Two 21-year-old women called police to the 800 block of Prentice St. at 6:11 p.m. to report a disturbance that occurred the week before. Officers counseling the women on how to live with others.
Booze: Police responded to the Pfiffner bandshell at 6:34 p.m. to handle a disturbance between two women, ages 46 and 48, over a loan to purchase alcohol.
Who knows: A disturbance was reported on the 500 block of West Clark St. at 6:41 p.m. but no details were included in the blotter.
No lights: A 16-year-old boy was issued a written warning for driving without lights at the Northpoint Dr. roundabout at 7:30 p.m.
Disturbance: An 18-year-old woman was arrested on “numerous charges” not included in the blotter following a disturbance on the 1700 block of Briggs St. at 8:52 p.m.
Theft: A 30-year-old man was arrested for retail theft at JR Liquor, 484 Division St., at 9:41 p.m., but all details were redacted from the blotter.

Disturbance: Police were called to Graffiti’s Bar and Grill, 912 Main St., at 1:53 p.m. when two patrons “got into it,” but employees asked officers to move the people along.
Nonstopper: Police issued a warning to a 24-year-old man for failure to stop on the 900 block of Maria Dr. at 3 a.m.
Oops: Police were called to BP, 4928 Main St., at 7:48 a.m. for a gas drive-off. The female motorist was later located and told officers she didn’t realize her card payment didn’t go through. She agreed to return after work to complete the purchase.
You should know better: A 65-year-old woman was issued a written warning for non-registration of her vehicle and not having proof of insurance during a traffic stop near Michigan Ave. and Maria Dr. at 10:31 a.m.
Motorist assistance: Officers stopped to help a 22-year-old man whose vehicle broke down at Main St. and Country Club Dr. at 12:27 p.m.
Home alone: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on the 600 block of Portage St. at 3:47 p.m. when a caller reported children under the age of 10 were left home alone. No one answered the door, and officers were unable to contact the mother.
Disturbance: Police were called to the downtown library, 1001 Main St., at 4:30 p.m. when a 54-year-old man complained that another man was calling him names and threatened to shoot him. No further details were included in the blotter.
Slammer: Police were called to the 200 block of Prentice St. at 8:03 p.m. when a tenant complained their upstairs neighbor was “slamming stuff down on the floor.” Officers were unable to hear any excessive noise.
Speeder: A 19-year-old woman was issued a written warning for speeding at Division St. North and Maria Dr. at 10:19 p.m.
Cat-napper: A 28-year-old woman called police to the 2300 block of Heffron St. at 10:27 p.m. to report that a 44-year-old man entered her home and stole her cat as retribution for the woman being late on a truck payment. The man said he planned to return the cat several days later.
Car v deer: A 23-year-old man called police to report he’d struck a deer at Forest St. North and Red Arrow Dr. at 11:57 p.m. The deer was dispatched by the responding officer.
March 9
No license: An 18-year-old man was cited for driving without an American driver’s license, as he only had a Mexican ID, near Division St. and College Ave. at 3:39 a.m. The man was also issued a warning for not having proof of insurance and failure to obey a traffic sign.
Upset: Police responded to Blue Top, 3421 Church St., at 6:06 a.m. for a report of a loud disturbance in one of the rooms. A 21-year-old man had become upset over a video he was shown and became loud. He was warned to keep the noise down.
Who knows: A disturbance was reported somewhere in Stevens Point at 6:37 a.m. but no details were included in the blotter.
Vulgar: Police were called to the 2600 block of Bush Ct. at 7:30 a.m. when a neighbor became concerned over someone yelling profanities very loudly. The suspect, a 47-year-old woman, continued the loud behavior after being warned by officers and was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct.
Damage: Police were called to the parking lot of the former Great Lakes building, 1101 Centerpoint Dr., at 9:01 a.m. when someone reported rocks had been thrown at a vehicle, causing damage to the windshield and roof.
Booted and more: A 45-year-old man was trespassed from Kwik Trip, 3258 Church St., at 12:13 p.m., after he was verbally abusive to the staff when they refused to sell him alcohol or cigarettes without an ID. About 30 minutes later, the man called police to his home on the 1900 block of Prairie St. to report he thought he was contacted by someone pretending to be a Portage Co. deputy.
Hit and run: Polic responded to a hit and run at Strongs Ave. and Main St. at 3:31 p.m. No additional details were included in the blotter.
Shooters: A 71-year-old man called police to the 600 block of Sunrise Ave. at 4:31 p.m. to complain that two boys in light blue shirts were shooting BB guns near Iverson Park. Officers were unable to locate the boys.
Hit and run: A 22-year-old man reported a hit and run in the North Point Dr. roundabout at 6:12 p.m. The offender, also a 22-year-old man, was quickly located and arrested for OWI, first offense.
House crash: Police arrested a 33-year-old man for OWI, first offense, after the man crashed into a house on the 3900 block of Jordan Ln. at 11:12 p.m.
