March 5
Drug Stop: Police stopped two teens, a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old woman, near Oak and Division streets at 1:06 AM. The male driver was cited for operating without a license, and police investigated the two for drug involvement.
Violent Kid: Police were called to a school on Polk St. at 8:58 AM after a caller there reported a 15-year-old boy was causing a disturbance. The child was cited.
Emergency Hold: Police were forced to handcuff a 15-year-old boy from a home of the west side of Stevens Point so they could safely transport him to juvenile detention at 9:03 AM.
Failure to Yield: A 25-year-old woman was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign after a two-vehicle crash near Michigan Ave. and Heffron St. at 1:24 PM.
March 6
Wrong-Way Driver: A 26-year-old female driver received a verbal warning by a Portage Co. deputy after driving the wrong way down Church St. at 2:17 AM.
Change the Battery, Bro: A 42-year-old man called police to report a smoke alarm was going off on the 1000 block of Park St. at 4:23 AM. After a quick investigation, police advised the caller to change the battery inside the device.
Bad Driver: Police cited a 56-year-old man for operating while revoked, operating after suspension and operating without insurance after causing a vehicle crash near Division and Wisconsin streets at 8:50 AM.
Warrant: Police arrested a 38-year-old man from the 1000 block of Maple Bluff Rd. on an outstanding warrant at 4:06 PM.
Landlord/Tenant Dispute: A 42-year-old woman called police to report she’d received threatening text messages from her 33-year-old male landlord on the 100 block of Division St. at 6:24 PM.

Late-night Concerns About An Ex: A 29-year-old man called police at 1:40 AM to report concerns about his wife’s child, who was staying with her ex-husband that night.
