March 25

Still need to follow the law: A 29-year-old man on a bicycle was issued a written warning by deputies for operating at night without lights near Post Rd. and Willow Dr. in Plover at 12:15 a.m.

Assisting the divine: Deputies responded to St. Casimir Parish, 203 Casimir Rd. West, at 2:18 a.m., when a patrolman observed an exterior door left open. The building was cleared and secured.

Stuck: Deputies responded to Hwy. 49 and Nerdahl Rd. at 8:18 a.m. when a semi-truck driver, who was attempting a U-turn, got stuck in the road and was blocking all lanes. Johnson Towing of Stevens Point was called to assist.

No registration: Police issued a citation to a 38-year-old woman for nonregistration of her vehicle and a written warning for no proof of insurance near Michigan Ave. and Rice St. at 11:02 a.m.

Who knows: A 48-year-old woman reported suspicious activity near Jefferson St. and Frontenac Ave. at 11:43 a.m., but no additional information was included in the blotter.

Overparking: Deputies were called to the 50 block of Maplewood Dr. at 12:03 p.m. when a 69-year-old man reported that a vehicle was parked “for several months” in a 12-hour parking spot.

Theft: Police were called to Willow Brooke, 1801 Lilac Ln., at 1:24 p.m. for a report of a theft, but additional details were redacted from the blotter.

Speeder: Police cited a 66-year-old woman for speeding 20 miles over the 35-mph speed limit near Hwy. 10 East and Elizabeth Ave. at 2:01 p.m.

Crash: Police responded to a back-end collision at the Stanley St. Kwik Trip at 2:28 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Busted with weed: Deputies stopped a 41-year-old woman at Church St. and Michigan Ave. and issued a verbal warning for loud exhaust and no proof of insurance. Deputies also found the odor of marijuana coming from the car, and a search uncovered a “small bag” of marijuana, which was destroyed on the spot.

Fraud: A 46-year-old man reported to police from the 2100 block of Church St. at 4:29 p.m. that someone was using his personal information to sign up for something.

Paranoid: A 22-year-old man called police to the 1800 block of Maria Dr. at 5:23 p.m. to report he believed someone had placed a tracker on his truck. It turned out to be a regular piece of plastic.

Plow damage: A 75-year-old man called police to the 3900 block of Lorraine St. at 6:50 p.m. to complain that his neighbor’s plow truck was damaging his trees.

Bus v car: A 53-year-old woman called police to the 800 block of Third St. at 6:54 p.m. to report that a school bus had sideswiped her vehicle that was legally parked on the street.

Dirty biker: A 44-year-old man called deputies to complain about a dirt bike operator driving on the roadway and running stop signs on the 1500 block of Sky Line Dr. at 7:08 p.m. Deputies were unable to located the offender.

Threats: A 32-year-old man called police to the 1900 block of Main St. at 9:38 p.m. to report he was being threatened over Facebook. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.

Desparate: Deputies were called to the Stop n Go Mobile, 281 Grand Ave. East, in Rosholt, at 10:30 p.m. for suspicious activity behind the store. It turned out to be a 24-year-old man looking for discarded cigarettes.

Crash: Police responded to a single-vehicle crash near Third and Clark streets at 5:35 a.m. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
