Homeless junk: Police were called to the 1000 block of Main St. at 8:14 a.m. to dispose of “abandoned property.”
More homeless junk: Police were called to Mead Park, 1001 West River Dr., at 8:25 a.m., to dispose of “abandoned property.”
A lot more homeless junk: Police were called to County Hwy. C and West Gates Dr. at 8:40 a.m. to check on a homeless camp. No one was around, just “lots of garbage.”
Wrong-way: A 60-year-old woman was issued a verbal warning for driving the wrong way at Second St. and Centerpoint Dr. at 9:15 a.m. The woman said the intersection was “confusing.”
More homeless junk: Police were called to Cobblestone Hotel and Suites, 1117 Centerpoint Dr., to clean up “abandoned property” on city-owned property next door at 9:27 a.m.
Out of touch: Deputies issued written warnings to a 69-year-old man for having expired registration and a cracked windshield near Bush Ct. and Patch St. at 10:26 a.m.
Speed and crack: Deputies cited a 48-year-old woman at County Hwy. R and Cardinal Dr. at 10:49 a.m. for traveling 60 mph in a 40-mph zone. She was also warned for having a cracked windshield.
Crash: Deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a U.S. Mail truck on the 2900 block of County Hwy. Y at 11:25 a.m.
Domestic: Police were called to the 2000 block of Lincoln Ave. at 12:04 p.m. for a domestic disturbance. The caller did not wish to file charges.
Checking up: Police conducted extra patrol in the wooded area near SPASH, 1201 North Point Dr., at 1:06 p.m.
Homeless camp: Police responded to a reported homeless camp behind a business on the 3200 block of Church St. at 2:07 p.m. A futon, a tent, and blankets were discarded.
Dog bite: Police and medics were called to Mead Park, 1001 West River Dr., at 3:09 p.m., when a homeless woman, age 30, reported being bitten by a dog. No further details were included in the blotter.
Stumbler: Police stopped to conduct a welfare check on an intoxicated woman, age 53, who was “stumbling in the road” at 3:26 p.m. Officers gave the woman a ride home.
Who knows: Police stopped a 16-year-old boy near River View Ave. and West River Dr. at 3:47 p.m. for reasons not explained in the blotter.
Speeder: Deputies cited a 19-year-old woman for traveling 48 mph in a 25-mph zone near Locust St. and McDill Ave. at 3:49 p.m.
Stolen political sign: A 42-year-old man called police to the 700 block of Division St. at 4:30 p.m. to report the theft of a political sign.
Crash among the dead: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at Guargian Angel Cemetery, 3241 Pais St., at 4:51 p.m. Details were not included in the blotter.
Bike yeller: Police responded to the 1400 block of Rogers St. at 5:08 p.m. when someone reported a man “screaming” at a woman there. It turned out that the man, age 26, was “yelling at his bike.”
Underagers: Police were called to Main and Third streets at 7:45 p.m. when someone made an anonymous complaint about underage drinkers “walking around.” Officers found the offenders, an 18-year-old woman and a man, age 19, who admitted to drinking. The two were issued citations.

Creepy: A 20-year-old woman called police to the 3400 block of McCulloch St. at 1:03 a.m. to report suspicious activity. The woman suspected a 57-year-old man of leaving a flower and a note welcoming her to the neighborhood outside her door. The woman said she did not want contact from the man, and officers advised him of such.
Not a fire: Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Strange St. in Whiting at 3:37 a.m. after a caller reported a house fire. No fire was located.
Drunk: Police and medics responded to Iverson Park, 4201 Main St., at 4:47 a.m., when someone reported a woman who was intoxicated and sick. Details about the call were redacted from the blotter.
Crash: A 23-year-old man was arrested for driving without a license after reportedly striking a pedestrian at Maria Dr. and Division St. at 6:47 a.m.
