Police & Sheriff calls, June 7-8

June 7

Loud Party: Deputies were called to the 5400 block of Claret Dr. at 9:41 p.m. after a caller reported a loud party at the residence. Deputies spoke with the homeowner, who agreed to cooperate.

OWI: A 25-year-old man was stopped for a seatbelt violation near Division and Jefferson streets at 1:52 a.m. and was found to be “too intoxicated to drive”. He was arrested for both offenses.

Icy Argument: A 41-year-old man called police from the 1800 block of Frontenac Ave. at 7:35 a.m. to report a 37-year-old woman pushed him following a verbal argument over ice packs for their kids’ lunchboxes.

Theft: A 19-year-old man reported someone stole his bicycle from the 2900 block of Fifth Ave. at 10:42 a.m.

Unfounded: A 30-year-old woman called police at 10:15 a.m. to report an assault and trespassing occurred on Lora St., but police determined the complaint was “completely unfounded”.

Theft: An employee of McDonald’s, 127 Division St. North, called police at 4:17 p.m. to report a minor employee had stolen an undisclosed amount of cash from the store. No further information was released.

June 8

Car vs Traffic Light: A 72-year-old woman was cited after striking a traffic light at Park Ridge Dr. and Sunset Ave. at 2:56 p.m.

Fight: Police arrested a 53-year-old man and 42-year-old woman from the 1000 block of Main St. at 12:49 a.m. The two were reportedly yelling at each other, and during a disturbance broke a cane and a door. The man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, domestic abuse, and a probation violation. The woman was arrested on charges of domestic abuse and disorderly conduct.

OWI: A 50-year-old woman was arrested for OWI, first offense, near Hwy. 10 and Brilowski Rd. at 12:45 a.m.

Runner: Police were called to the intersection of Clark and Third streets at 2:33 a.m. when someone reported a man was harassing a group of women at that location. A possible suspect, a 32-year-old, ran from law enforcement. He was cited for obstruction.

Drunk: Police were called to the 800 block of Franklin St. at 3:50 a.m. after a 23-year-old woman called to report an intoxicated man, 21, was yelling and broke a door. The man was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property, domestic abuse, and disorderly conduct.
