Homeless problems: Police responded to a known homeless encampment in the parking lot at 924 Arlington Pl. at 9:07 a.m. to warn a known woman, age 48, who was living in the lot in an RV. The vehicle would be cited unless it was moved because its permit had expired.
Illegal dumping: Police were called to the Moose Lodge, 1025 Second St. North, at 9:37 a.m. when someone reported that boxes were illegally dumped on the property. A woman’s name was found on some paperwork inside the boxes, and police contacted her to retrieve the boxes.
Bad job: A 51-year-old man called police to Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, to complain that he was upset about work done to his vehicle. Officers explained that it was a civil matter.
Shoplifter: Police were called back to Fleet Farm at 1:41 p.m. when staff reported catching a shoplifter. A 20-year-old man was cited and trespassed. No word on what the man took.
Kids: A 61-year-old woman called the police to the 3000 block of Bush St. at 3:44 p.m. to report that she suspected a group of young children had cut her fence to steal bricks from her yard to build a fort.
Homeless: Police were called to the tunnel next to the downtown library at 6:13 p.m. to assist library staff in removing three known homeless people who were loitering in the area.
Dog park problems: A 37-year-old man called police to the Stevens Point Dog Park, 601 Mason St., at 7:47 p.m. to report that another dog owner was not being attentive in restraining his dog and that the owner raised his fist at the caller as if he were going to punch him.
Homeless problems: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 3258 Church St., at 9:08 p.m. when staff reported a 60-year-old man was refusing to leave. Police managed to talk the man into walking off the property, but he repeatedly lost his balance and was standing in the spray of the yard sprinklers. He also refused to properly perform a PBT, sucking instead of blowing into the device. He was ultimately escorted from the property and warned not to return.
Back to KT: Police returned to Kwik Trip at 10:58 p.m. when staff reported two intoxicated individuals causing some problems. One of the people, a known 49-year-old homeless woman, was arrested on a probation violation because she was under a judge’s orders to remain sober.
Nearly hit: Police were called to College Ave. and Rogers St. at 11:02 p.m. when a caller reported a 50-year-old male motorist nearly hit her while he was doing burnouts in the street. Police knocked on the suspect’s door, but nobody answered.
Super drunk: Police conducted a welfare check on a 55-year-old man sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express at 11:46 p.m. The man was “extremely intoxicated” and had a bottle of vodka next to him in his vehicle. Officers helped the man into the hotel, where he had a room.

Homeless: Police found a 52-year-old man sleeping at Pfiffner Pioneer Park, on the west side of the band shell, at 12:47 a.m. He was moved along.
Can’t follow directions: Police arrested a 60-year-old man from Kwik Trip, 3258 Church St., at 1:01 a.m. The man had returned to the store numerous times after being banned, and staff called police on him three times in one shift.
Homeless: Police were called to Frame Memorial Church, 1300 Main St., at 1:36 a.m. when someone reported several homeless people being at the church after hours. They were told they weren’t allowed to sleep there, and moved along.
More homeless: Police were called back to the 1300 block of Main St. at 2:07 a.m. to remove a homeless man, 52, from sleeping in front of the post office.
Mama kin: Police were called to the 200 block of Prentice St. North at 3:47 p.m. when a 43-year-old woman asked for her juvenile, autistic son to be placed on a psych hold after he allegedly punched her in the face. Officers found no evidence that the woman was punched and encouraged her to take parenting classes offered by the family’s case worker. The child was later taken to the hospital and struck a nurse. Charges were referred to the DA’s office.
E-biker: Police conducted a traffic stop on an e-biker near Minnesota Ave. and Maria Dr. at 4:31 p.m., but details were redacted from the blotter. The e-biker’s parents were contacted.
Underwear thief: Police were called to the 500 block of Washington Ave. at 6:10 p.m. when two women reported someone had stolen underwear from their outdoor clothesline.
Speeder: A 19-year-old woman was cited for speeding near Main and Phillips streets at 8:35 p.m.
Threats, we think: Police were called to the 3300 block of Oak Ave. at 9:15 p.m. when a 41-year-old man reported someone at their child’s school was making threats. The majority of the call notes were redacted.
