June 1
Who knows: A 38-year-old man called police to the 1400 block of Torun Rd. at 11:15 a.m. to report a property crime, but no other details were included in the blotter.
Hit and run: A 34-year-old man called police to the 1400 block of Strongs Ave. at 11:48 a.m. to report someone had struck his car while it was parked sometime on May 29.
Theft: A 76-year-old man called police at 1:41 p.m. to report that his cell phone was stolen while he was eating at Parker Johns, 5327 Hwy. 10 East.
Butt naked: Someone called police to the 800 block of First St. at 2:50 p.m. to complain about a naked man standing on his front porch. When officers arrived, the man, 87, was fully clothed but told police that he “dropped his pants briefly to clean something that spilled.” The man was told to keep his clothing on.
Nosy neighbors: Police were called to the 1000 block of Edgewood Ave. at 4:24 p.m. when a 64-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man expressed concerns about their male neighbor, 70. The woman reportedly had recorded a audio of the neighbor wherein the man said something about killing people, but the context of those comments was not audible.
Damage: A 25-year-old woman called police to complain that an unknown person had damaged her screen door on the 900 block of Union St. at 6:22 p.m.
Oh, please: Someone called police to the 1900 block of Church St. to complain about a neighbor blowing leaves into the road. The officer noted a “very small amount of leaves” upon arrival.
Unhappy patient: Police responded to Aspirus Stevens Point at 8:56 p.m. when someone reported two people, a 31-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, yelling at each other. It turns out the man was simply unhappy about waiting so long to be seen by a medical provider. The couple was warned to keep it down.

Pokémon Go home: Police stopped to check on a vehicle parked in the bike lane near Michigan Ave. and Maria Dr. at 2:44 a.m. The motorist, a 60-year-old man, was inside Schmeeckle Reserve playing Pokémon Go. The man was told to move along.
Busted at school: Police were called to Point of Discovery School, 1900 West Zinda Dr., at 9:34 a.m. when a staff member reported that two students were caught drinking alcohol on school grounds. The students’ ages and genders were redacted from the blotter, but they were both cited.
Speeder: Police cited a 20-year-old woman for driving 40 in a 25-mph zone near Division St. North and Academy Ave. at 4:50 p.m.
How rude: Police were called to the 600 block of John’s Dr. at 6:28 p.m. when a caller complained that a 38-year-old woman was playing music via a speaker outside of her residence. The woman apologized and turned it down.
Suspicious: Police stopped to conduct a welfare check on a 32-year-old woman who was yelling near Illinois Ave. and Wayne St. at 8:10 p.m. The woman said she was “letting energy go,” but police advised her not to walk around and yell, as it worried people.
Runnin’ from the cops: Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Church and Shaurette streets at 9:42 p.m. for a motorist who was speeding and failed to stop at a stop sign. After a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped, and the motorist, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested.
Nailed: A 25-year-old woman called police to the 300 block of Lindbergh Ave. at 10:21 p.m. to report “suspicious knocking” on her wall. After a brief investigation, police learned the woman’s neighbor was hammering in a nail to hang a picture on the wall.
Passed out at ‘da Bell: Police were called to Taco Bell, 433 Division St., at 10:58 p.m., when an employee reported a customer was “passed out” in the drive-thru. But the motorist was gone when an officer arrived.

Littering: Police were called to the Family Crisis Center on West River Dr. at 1:41 a.m. when a staffer reported a 57-year-old man was causing a disturbance. He was “upset that services weren’t rendered to his liking,” and left papers strewn all over the ground near the entrance. He was cited for littering.
