Police & Sheriff calls, July 3-5

July 3

2:03 a.m., police were called to the corner of Second and Franklin streets after someone reported a suspicious man digging through a box on the curb. The man told police he was looking through the items, which were in the “free” box, but then went on his way.

9:22 a.m., Plover police cited a 33-year-old man for failure to yield near County trunks J an D.

10:40 a.m., a two-vehicle crash was reported near Hwy. 54 and Harding Ave. No injuries were reported.

11 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Frontenac Ave. when a 52-year-old man reported someone had ripped out the carpet and broken a window in the residence.

11:30 a.m., a 68-year-old woman called the police to report a 77-year-old man had trespassed on her property and was threatening her on the 2100 block of Rice St.

July 4

1:14 a.m., police warned a 37-year-old male driver near North Second St. and Orderinda Ct. for having illegal tint on his light covers.

9:27 a.m., police arrested a 29-year-old man on possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on the 3200 block of Yvonne Dr. During the same traffic stop, a 32-year-old woman in the car was also arrested on a charge of bail-jumping.

1:18 p.m., a 76-year-old man called deputies from the 6000 block of Hwy. 10 E to say a 39-year-old man did not return the keys after test-driving a vehicle he was selling. The suspect was later located and returned the items.

4:28 p.m., deputies responded to a motorcycle crash at Sunset and Maple drives. Injuries were not immediately reported.

7:01 p.m., deputies were called to the 100 block of Mill Road Ct. after a caller reported a verbal disturbance between a 41-year-old man and his female neighbor, 51.

July 5

2:11 a.m., a 22-year-old man was arrested for resisting an officer during a traffic stop near Phillips and Briggs streets. He was also cited for driving without headlights, his third offense of OWI and operating while revoked.
