July 3
Fraud: Police took a report of fraud from the 200 block of Minnesota Ave. at 12:05 p.m. but the summary of the incident was completely redacted from the blotter.
Crash: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision near Hwy. 10 East and Amber Ave. at 2:04 p.m. No injuries were reported but one vehicle was towed.
Troublemaker: Police were called to Culvers, 332 Division St. North, when a 43-year-old woman was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. She was taken under arrest on a probation hold. Details of the incident were redacted from the blotter.
Welfare check: Police were asked to assist a 70-year-old man whose electric wheelchair had stopped working at Main and Division streets at 5:27 p.m.
Wrong: A 39-year-old woman called police to Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 9:53 p.m. to report that another woman had a leash around the neck of her four-year-old child. Upon investigation, police discovered the leash was around the child’s backpack, not his neck.
Burglar: A 22-year-old man was arrested after being caught inside Walgreens, 3301 Church St., at 10:06 p.m., after the business closed.
July 4
Separated: Officers responded to a verbal disturbance on the 2800 block of Soo Marie Ave. at 10:51 a.m. The people involved, a 35-year-old woman and a man, age 32, were separated for the day.
Door opener thief: A 72-year-old woman called police to the parking lot of Save A Lot Foods, 2:18 p.m., to report that someone had stolen the garage door opener from her locked vehicle. After reviewing security camera footage of the parking lot, police confirmed that nobody had taken anything from the woman’s car.
Hot stuff: A 30-year-old woman called police to report that a woman was lying on the ground and someone was pouring water on her at Mead Park, 1001 West River Dr., at 2:41 p.m. The woman was identified, said she’d been sleeping, but was hot. She declined medical attention.
Can’t stay here: Police were called to the Salvation Army, 1600 Briggs St., at 3:55 p.m. when staff reported that an outside agency had dropped off an intoxicated homeless man. The shelter doesn’t allow intoxicated persons to stay there.
Trespasser: Staff at Days Inn, 159 Division St. North, called police when a 49-year-old woman refused to leave the property. The woman requested a ride from the police to Cera Park and was given one.
Race: Police were called to Hwy. 10 East and Badger Ave. at 4:57 p.m. when a caller complained about four motorists racing and driving inappropriately. The motorists were men and women aged 18 and 19. No additional details were included in the blotter.
Bike problems: A 33-year-old woman called police to the 100 block of Forest St. North to complain that her landlord gave a third party permission to use her bicycle. When the woman threatened to call police, the third party left on foot.
Not dead: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a non-responsive man outside of the business at Franklin and Division streets at 6:50 p.m. The man, 35, was only sleeping and told to move along.
Fight: Police responded to the 1400 block of Torun Rd. when a caller reported a physical disturbance there at 9:31 p.m. When officers arrived, one party had fled on foot, and the other, who was the caller, had an open warrant and was taken into custody.
Bail-jumper: An 18-year-old woman was arrested for bail-jumping following a verbal disturbance on the 2100 block of Ellis St. at 10:18 p.m.
No clue: A 23-year-old man called police to the 2100 block of Water St. at 11:24 p.m. to claim that “people were following him” after he cut someone off in traffic. According to the blotter, the man’s story made no sense, but further details were redacted.
July 5
Fighting for the phone: Police were called to Bush St. and Minnesota Ave. at 12:27 a.m. when a caller reported that a man and woman were fighting over a cell phone. The parties were separated for the night.
Icon-ic bust: A 46-year-old homeless woman was arrested for misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancement from Icon, 956 Main St.
Some kind of disturbance: Police responded to The Outfit, 804 Main St., at 1:52 a.m. when they saw a highly intoxicated man lying on the ground surrounded by friends who were helping take care of him. The man, identified as a known 22-year-old, had caused a disturbance earlier in the night, but those details weren’t included in the blotter.
Break-in: Police responded to the 400 block of West St. North at 6:02 a.m. when a 60-year-old called 911 to report that a 55-year-old man broke into her home and began throwing things around while her children were sleeping. No additional details were included in the blotter.
Maybe he was doomscrolling: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 3258 Church St., at 9:58 a.m. when an employee reported that a motorist had been “sitting in his truck for over an hour at the same pump.” No reasons were included in the blotter for why the man was sitting there for so long.
Jerk: Police were called to the 1000 block of West River Dr. at 12:44 p.m. when a woman reported that a known 48-year-old woman was intoxicated and making threats towards her. Part of the details were redacted from the blotter.
Problems: Police were called to the 1100 block of Main St. at 2:30 p.m. when a 20-year-old man shoved a minor. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Crash: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at Franklin and Second streets at 9:11 p.m. A 68-year-old woman was cited for failing to yield.
