July 26

Wrong-way: A motorist whose age and gender were not included in the blotter was issued a verbal warning for driving the wrong way at Main St. and Michigan Ave. at 9:30 a.m.

Crash: Police responded to a minor two-vehicle collision in the parking lot across from Belts’ Soft Serve at 11:16 a.m.

Fraud: A 61-year-old man walked into SPPD at 12:55 p.m. to report fraud. No further details were included in the blotter.

Trespasser: A man whose age was not listed in the blotter was reportedly trespassing on the 3900 block of Patch St. at 2:02 p.m. No further details were included in the blotter.

Welfare check: Police were called to the 100 block of Division St. at 3:09 p.m. to check on an elderly woman lying in the grass. The woman, 74, told officers she was just resting and did not need medical attention.

Suspicious: A 62-year-old woman called police to the 5700 block of Sandpiper Dr. at 3:38 p.m. to report two men in her yard carrying what looked like guns. No further information was included in the blotter.

Crash: Police responded to the North Point Dr. roundabout at 3:42 p.m. for a two-vehicle collision. No injuries were reported.

Crash: Police were called to a two-vehicle collision at McDonald’s East, 5625 Hwy. 10 East, at 4:24 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Crash: A two-vehicle collision was reported at Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, at 4:26 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Sleeper: A called reported to police at 6:22 p.m. that someone was sleeping in a car parked at Whitetail Dr. and Torun Rd. No further information was included in the blotter.

Harassment: Police were called to the former Shopko parking lot at 1200 Main St. at 10:22 p.m. when a 20-year-old woman reported a 16-year-old girl was harassing her.

July 27

Whatta jerk: Police were called to Politos Pizza, 960 Main St., when it was reported at 2:41 a.m. that someone had stolen the tip jar from the counter.

Who knows: Police responded to Main and Second streets at 3:45 a.m. when a caller reported some kind of disturbance there, and that a man was unconscious on the ground. No further details were included in the blotter.

Stalker: Police were called to Franny’s, 5720 Windy Dr., when a caller reported that a man was spending time outside the restaurant stalking someone who works there.

Homeless: A caller told police at 10:58 a.m. that homeless people were sleeping in the bushes outside of Berkshire Apartments at 1443 Water St.

Anti-superheroes: A 59-year-old woman called police to North Point Dr. and Prentice St. North at 11:35 a.m. to report that six people “wearing white capes” were carrying signs and chasing people down the sidewalk. No further details were included in the blotter.

Domestic: Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 2100 block of Dixon St. at 11:38 a.m.

Bad boyfriend: A woman complained to police at 7:30 p.m. that her boyfriend had stolen her phone, sim card, and a key fob.

Harassment: A 40-year-old woman called police to report that a known person was harassing her daughter, and driving by and yelling at their Bliss Ave. home.

Oops: A 39-year-old man called police to report another motorist had struck a traffic light while traveling 55-60 mph at Main St. and Wilshire Blvd. at 8:03 p.m. The pole was “bent over” as a result.

Theft: A 41-year-old man reported to police that someone stole a dog kennel and garden fencing from his home on First St. at 8:15 p.m.

Noisy: A caller reported “loud people” by a campfire on the 2600 block of Ellis St. at 11:38 p.m. No further details on the dastardly deeds were included in the blotter.

July 28

So stupid: Police were called to Water and Park streets at 3:21 a.m. when a caller reported “three people playing chicken with the trains” on the CN tracks. The trains were stopped but no additional information was included in the blotter.

Domestic: Police were called to the 2600 block of Indiana Ave. at 10:17 a.m. when a caller reported their neighbors were shouting and shoving each other.

Roommate problems: Police responded to the 900 block of Main St. at 12:49 p.m. when a caller reported their roommate attacked them.

Trespassers: A caller reported seeing three “kids” on the historic train at Monroe and Church streets smoking marijuana at 6:10 p.m. No one was present when an officer arrived on the scene.

What’s up at Dunkin: A concerned customer called police to Dunkin, 617 Division St., at 7:05 p.m. to report they couldn’t find any employees in the store. No additional information was included in the blotter.

Perv: Police were called to Iverson Park, 4201 Main St., at 8:36 p.m., when someone reported a man had been following them through the park and asking people to “perform oral sex on him” and also asking explicit questions about genitalia. No further details were included in the blotter.

July 29

Domestic: Police were called to the 3700 block of Doolittle Dr. at 4:07 a.m. on an open 911 call. Dispatchers heard a disturbance in the background. No additional information was included in the blotter.
