Police & Sheriff calls, Feb. 9-11
Feb. 9
Disorderly: Police arrested a 45-year-old man on a charge of disorderly conduct from the 1400 block of Sixth Ave. at 2:25 AM.
Hassling Granny: A 60-year-old man called police at 8:55 PM to report he was being harassed by a 70-year-old woman on the 1400 block of Water St.
Naughty Driver: A 41-year-old man was cited for his second offense of driving without a license during a traffic stop near First St. and John’s Dr. at 11:35 AM.
Unruly Teen: Police were called to the 2400 block of Main St. after a caller reported a 14-year-old girl was causing a disturbance at 11:35 AM.
Car v Mailbox: Deputies responded to the intersection of County Trunk A and Hwy. 54 at 6:08 PM after a woman reportedly struck several mailboxes with her vehicle. The woman, 47, was cited for operating without insurance an failure to keep her vehicle under control.
Feb. 10
Pokemon Go-Away: Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious man near Post Rd. and Beech St. at 11:30 PM. The man was playing the popular mobile phone game Pokemon Go.
Total Bummer: An employee of Erbert and Gerberts, 812 Main St., called police at 12:14 AM to report someone had stolen a sign from the top of one of its delivery vehicles. It was not immediately know if the sign had since been recovered.
Disorderly: Police arrested a 19-year-old man from the 3500 block of Bush St. at 1:48 AM after he caused a disturbance involving a 17-year-old girl.
OWI: A 24-year-old woman was arrested a 2:43 AM for operating under the influence and driving without her lights on during a traffic top near Second St. and Fifth Ave.
Feb. 11
Wrong Way & Drunk: Police arrested a 24-year-old man for his second OWI offense after he was observed driving the wrong way down Clark St. at 2:03 AM.
Passed Out: Police arrested a 21-year-old man after he was found passed out in the driver’s seat on his vehicle, with his foot pressed on the brake, near Michigan Ave. and Main St. at 5:30 AM.
Drinking & Reading: A 31-year-old man was arrested for resisting an officer at 5 PM after he was caught drinking alcohol in the bathroom of the Portage Co. Library.
