Police & Sheriff calls, Feb. 4-5
Editor’s Note: Several slide-in crashes were reported on Feb. 4 and 5, largely in rural areas. For the sake of space and time, we have not listed them all here.
Feb. 4
Busted: Deputies arrested a 30-year-old man for bail-jumping during a traffic stop on Hwy. 66 West at 12:42 a.m. The man was also charged with possession of THC after deputies discovered he was carrying 3.5 grams of marijuana.
Liar: Deputies arrested a 36-year-old man on a charge of obstructing an officer after the man mislead the deputy about his identity.
Feb. 5
Hit & Run: Police cited a 29-year-old man for unsafe backing of a vehicle following a hit and run near Main and Second streets at 12:04 p.m.
Trespassing: A 24-year-old woman called police at 4:39 p.m. to report two people, a 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, were trespassing on her property on the 1900 block of Prairie St.
Jerk: A 26-year-old man was cited for reckless driving after failing to stop for a school bus on the 1900 block of Prairie St. at 6:51 p.m.
