February 11

Creepy: Police were asked to check on a vehicle parked in the lot with its trunk left open at Partner’s Pub, 2600 Stanley St., at 12:55 a.m. No one was around the vehicle, nothing appeared to be missing, and all four doors were locked.

Disturber: Police were called to Aspirus Stevens Point, 900 Illinois Ave., at 1:01 a.m., when a caller reported a 51-year-old woman was causing a disturbance. The woman was escorted off the property.

February 12

Registration: Police issued a warning to a 36-year-old woman for non-registration of her vehicle near Stanley St. and Minnesota Ave. at 9 a.m.

Registration, again: A 33-year-old woman was issued a written warning for non-registration of her vehicle at County Hwy. HH and Brilowski Rd. at 9:41 a.m.

Threats: A 49-year-old man called police to report he was being harassed and threatened by a 53-year-old man, violating a temporary restraining order. No further details were included in the blotter.

Scam: Police were called to the 3300 block of Teton Dr. at 11:25 a.m. when a 72-year-old man reported he provided personal information to a third party via email before realizing it was likely a scam.

Creepy: A 23-year-old man called police to the 600 block of John’s Dr. at 11:42 a.m. to report someone was sending him “weird things” via text. The man was advised to block the number.

Quite the disturbance: Police were called to Ben Franklin Jr. High at 12:45 p.m. when a caller reported a student was causing a disturbance by “banging on the door, throwing utensils, tipping over furniture, and yelling threats.” The student was cited for disorderly conduct and removed from the school.

Old stoner: Police were called to Willow Brooke assisted living center, 1801 Lilac Ln, at 12:56 p.m., when someone reported an elderly resident was in possession of marijuana. The resident, 61, turned over a “very small amount” of marijuana to police. Additional information was redacted from the blotter.

Who knows: Police were called to a two-vehicle collision at Main St. and Frontenac Ave. at 4:36 involving two men, ages 23 and 30. One man was cited, though the blotter didn’t specify which, nor did it say what he was cited for.

Mailbox fatality: An 81-year-old man called police to the 700 block of Warbler Ln. at 5:20 to report a passing motorist had struck his mailbox and drove away. He said it was the fourth time this year his mailbox had been hit.

Stolen car: A 21-year-old woman called police to Ellis St. and Michigan Ave. at 6:37 p.m. to report someone had stolen her vehicle. The details of the call were redacted from the blotter.

Creepy: A 58-year-old woman called police to the 400 block of Soo Marie Ave. at 9:11 a.m. to report she’d seen a suspicious man on her Ring doorbell camera approach her home earlier in the day, then walk away. The woman believed the man may have been involved in damaging her doorframe a few days prior.

February 13

Suspicious: Police were asked to check on a vehicle in the parking lot at Aspirus Stevens Point at 5:40 a.m. One door was left open but there were no signs of distress.

Crash: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at Brilowski Rd. and Hwy. 10 East at 7:13 a.m. involving a 36-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. Someone was cited for failure to yield, but the blotter did not specify who.
