Ketchup bandit: A 40-year-old woman called police to the 4900 block of Norway Pine Dr. at 8:11 a.m. to report that their house was “sprayed with ketchup.”

Speeder: Police issued a written warning for speeding to a 21-year-old woman at Maria Dr. and Division St. at 9:17 a.m.

Non-registration: Police issued a written warning for non-registration of a vehicle to a 33-year-old man at 10:14 a.m. near Clark and Cross streets.

Unintentional car theft: Police received a notification from a Flock camera that a stolen truck was spotted on I-39 at County Hwy. DB at 10:35 a.m. The driver said he’d just purchased the vehicle and was unaware it was stolen. No further details were included in the blotter.

Practice: Police were called to 640 Second St. North for suspicious activity at 11:16 a.m. It turned out to be a practicing driver in a parking lot.

Thrower: A 27-year-old man called police to Wildcard Corp., 1300 College Ct., at 11:55 p.m. to report a 31-year-old woman was throwing rocks at his vehicle. No further details were included in the blotter.

Speeders: Police issued written warnings for speeding to a 70-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman, at 1:46 and 2:06, respectively, at Academy Ave. and Prentice St. North.

Disturbance, we think: Police were called to Fleet Farm, 5590 Hwy. 10 East, at 2:35 p.m. for a disturbance involving a minor girl. No further details were included in the blotter.

Bad ex: A 48-year-old woman called police to the 2700 block of Main St. at 3:06 p.m. to report that her son’s ex-girlfriend was sending her threatening text messages. The woman was advised to obtain a restraining order.

Bad driving: Police cited a 19-year-old woman at 7:43 p.m. for speeding and operating while suspended on River View Ave.

Bad boy: A 22-year-old man was arrested at Fourth Ave. and Division St. at 9:37 p.m. on charges of speeding, second offense operating while intoxicated, and resisting arrest.

Drunk and rude: Police were called to La Quinta Inn, 4917 Main St., at 10:34 p.m., when a caller reported a disturbance between an intoxicated 32-year-old man, and a woman, 34. The two had reserved individual rooms but one of their credit cards was declined, leading to an argument over the rooms. The woman, who was with her children, ultimately left.

January 1

Passed out: Police were called to Graffiti’s Bar and Grill, 912 Main St., at 12:35 a.m. to conduct a welfare check on a man, age 36, who was passed out at the bar.

Not an underage rager: Police were called to the 1600 block of East Ave. at 12:35 a.m. when a caller complained about an underage drinking party. Officers spoke with several adults in the home and found no evidence of the complaint.

Missing: A 20-year-old man called police to College Ave. and Phillips St. at 12:52 a.m. to report he’d heard a “scraping noise outside” and upon looking out his window, saw that a stop sign was missing.

Crash: A 21-year-old male motorist slid on “glare ice” and hit a curb, breaking the tire off the car, near Kiwk Trip at Church and Heffron streets at 1:32 a.m. Johnson’s Towing was called to remove the vehicle.

Drunk: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a 52-year-old man who “kept falling down” in front of Next Home Priority, 20 Park Ridge Dr., at 2:10 a.m. The man was found to be intoxicated and was given a ride home.

Broken down and busted: Police stopped to assist a motorist with car trouble at Sound St. North and John’s Dr. at 2:31 a.m. The officer found five occupants in the vehicle between the ages of 17 and 20, all of whom were issued citations for underage possession of alcohol.

Not stolen: Police were called to Baymont Inn, 247 Division St. North, at 4:16 a.m. when a 40-year-old man reported his vehicle had been stolen. Officers soon discovered the vehicle had not been stolen, and that the man had left it parked in lot at Final Score.

Loitering: Police were called to Graffiti’s Bar and Grill, 912 Main St., at 2:39 p.m. when a 30-year-old man was causing a disturbance and refused to pay his bill and leave. The man said he was unable to pay the bill. He was later arrested for resisting and is being held on a probation hold.

Headlights: Police issued a written warning for operating without headlights to a 24-year-old woman driving near River View Ave. and West River Dr. at 8:32 p.m.
