December 30

Speeder: Deputies cited a 19-year-old man for speeding near Hwy. 54 and Coolidge Ave. at 12:27 a.m.

Misbehaving: Police and deputies responded to Iverson Park at 1:10 a.m. when a pair of teens, an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were seen driving into the park after hours. Open alcohol containers were found in the vehicle and both were taken into custody on multiple charges.

Plant man: Police stopped to conduct a welfare check on a man “walking around in the woods” on the 1700 block of West River Dr. at 9:37 a.m. The man said he was identifying plants using a Smartphone app.

Scammed: Deputies took a complaint from a 63-year-old man claiming to have been scammed out of $27,000 by a construction company out of Green Bay. The homeowner was advised it was a civil matter.

Oops: Police were called to BO, 4928 Main St., at 9:40 a.m. when a motorist drove away without paying for the gas they pumped. The son of the motorist, a 61-year-old man, later contacted the gas station to say his father simply forgot, and would return to pay.

Speeder: A 56-year-old woman was issued a warning for speeding on the 100 block of Division St. North at 10:12 a.m.

Motorist assist: Police stopped to assist a 72-year-old man with a flat tire on I-39 near the 161 southbound off-ramp at 10:38 a.m.

Fraud: An 83-year-old man came to the SPPD at 1:15 p.m. to report someone had fraudulently spent nearly $200 from his bank account.

Missing, maybe: A 36-year-old woman called deputies to Old Hwy. 18 Rd. at 1:25 to report that her boyfriend of three months hadn’t returned any of her messages for four days. No further details were included in the blotter.

Threats, we think: Police were called to Salvation Army Hope Center, 1600 Briggs St., at 6:12 p.m., when someone reported a disturbance caused by a known 50-year-old man. No further details were included in the blotter.

Lights, man: An 18-year-old man was issued a written warning for driving without headlights near Water and Third streets at 7:44 p.m.

Some kind of traffic stop: Police stopped a 61-year-old woman somewhere in the area of Main St. and Wilshire Blvd. at 8:12 p.m., but the blotter contained only bits of information pertaining to reckless driving and no details on the outcome.

Speed: A 26-year-old man was cited for speeding near Church and Nebel streets at 8:33 p.m.

Burnouts: Police responded to the 400 block of West Harding Ave. at 11 p.m. when a caller reported someone in a pickup truck doing burnouts. No further details were included in the blotter.

December 31

Drunk driver: A 33-year-old man was cited for first-offense OWI on I-39 at Hwy. 10 West northband at 12:06 a.m.

Underage: Police were called to Brick Hause, 1343 Second St., at 12:22 a.m. when an employee reported an 18-year-old man who had presented a fake ID refusing to leave the bar. No further details were included in the blotter.

Attempted break-in: Police responded to the 700 block of Third St. at 1:11 a.m. when a 40-year-old woman reported that an 18-year-old man was banging on the back door of her home and attempting to gain entry. No further details were included in the blotter.

Hope they ‘ketch’ ’em: Officers were called to the 4900 block of Norway Pine Dr. at 8:11 a.m. when a female homeowner reported that someone had sprayed her house with ketchup. No further details were included in the blotter.
