August 5

Poled: Police were notified that a street light pole was broken on the 2100 block of Maple St. at 8:08 a.m. WPS was called to the scene.

Crash: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at Dixon St. and Michigan Ave. at 8:31 a.m. No further details were included in the blotter.

Injured: Police and paramedics were called to Country Club Dr. and Woodward Dr. at 9:17 a.m. when someone reported a woman lying on the sidewalk in need of medical attention after hitting her head.

Screamer: Someone called police to the 2000 block of Clark St. at 11:05 a.m. to report that their neighbors were yelling at each other.

Gross: Police were called to KASH Park, 1201 West Whitney St., at 11:46 p.m., when a caller reported homeless people were “pooping in the bushes” and that there were bags of clothing left behind.

Eviction: Officers responded to the 2000 block of Madison St. at 2:22 p.m. when a property owner reported that evicted tenants were refusing to leave the property. The caller also believed one of the tenants was “high on meth” at the time.

Creepy: Police were called to Check’s Muffler Center, 2401 Main St., at 5:01 p.m. to report an unknown person wearing a mask was repeatedly peering through the business windows.

Super creepy: Police were called to Iverson Park, 4201 Main St., at 5:36 p.m. when a caller reported a suspicious man “putting on latex gloves and walking bath and forth from the woods to the car.” No further details were included in the blotter.

BB gun brat: A 35-year-old woman called police to the 2700 block of Indiana Ave. at 5:40 p.m. to report that someone was shooting at her vehicle with a BB gun. No further details were included in the blotter.

Smashed: Police responded to the former Dime and Dollar, 3268 Church St., at 6:05 p.m. when a caller reported the front glass door was broken and a large rock was nearby.

August 6

Fireworks: A 24-year-old woman called police at 2:01 a.m. to complain that her neighbors were shooting off fireworks.

Slasher: A 44-year-old woman called police to the 2700 block of Indiana Ave. at 6:32 a.m. to report that someone had slashed the tires on her vehicle the night before.

Kayak thief: A 22-year-old man called police to the 2200 block of North Point Dr. at 6:42 a.m. to report someone had stolen a blue children’s kayak from his truck overnight.
