Police seek suspect who requested sexual contact with teen
By Brandi Makuski
Stevens Point police are looking for an older white man who may have been looking for sexual contact with a teenage boy.
The man approached the young man shortly before 11 a.m. on June 26 while the boy was fishing on Black Bridge at the end of Wisconsin St., according to Assistant Police Chief Tom Zenner.
“Obviously, it was upsetting to the 17-year-0ld, who left the area right away and contacted us,” Zenner said, who added it was not yet determined if a crime had been committed. “We’d certainly like to speak to the male subject.”
When police arrived at the scene, the suspect was gone.
The man is described as an “older white male”, with gray hair and beard, possibly missing some teeth, wearing a gray t-shirt and khaki shorts riding a blue mountain bike.
Anyone with additional information should contact the Stevens Point Police Department via the non-emergency number (715) 346-1500 or by Private Messenger on Facebook.
