Metro Wire Staff

Stevens Point police say they’re looking for information on the whereabouts of a man suspected of being involved in an incident at Point Motel on Wednesday.

Aaron A. Sally, 35, of Stevens Point, fled the scene before officers arrived on June 24, according to Detective Sgt. Brian Brooks.

Sally’s last known address is on the 2100 block of Rice St.

Stevens Point police were called to Point Motel, 209 Division St., at 2:35 p.m. on June 24 after a caller reported a disturbance involving several people, a baseball bat, and one handgun.

Two vehicles also attempted to flee the scene as officers arrived, but were stopped by police. A search of one of the vehicles uncovered two handguns, one of which was reported stolen from Wisconsin Rapids.

Officers learned the fight began during an argument about a woman between Lorenzo M. Miner, 28, and Sally. During the fight, Sally allegedly attacked Miner with a baseball bat. Miner was later taken to a local hospital received several staples to close an injury to his head. He has since been released.

Two of Sally’s co-defendants appeared for bond hearings on Friday. Judge Thomas Fluguar and District Attorney Louis Molepske, Jr., were surprised to learn Sally was not in custody.

Anyone with information on Sally’s whereabouts should contact the SPPD at 715.346.1500.
