Police: man struck at railroad crossing

Stevens Point police say a pedestrian was transported to the hospital after being struck by a CN train on Saturday.
According to a news release from the SPPD, police, fire and EMS crews responded to a west side railroad crossing after a caller reported a 45-year-old man was injured “from contact with the train” shortly before 6:30 AM on Feb. 17.
The man was transported by Portage Co. EMS to an undisclosed medical facility.
