Police looking for drug suspect following Church St. search

Stevens Point police are looking for a Wood Co. man following an early-morning search of a Church St. home on Thursday.
Officers executed the search warrant at 3257 Church St. at 5 a.m. on June 17.
Assisting SPPD with the search was the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, the Stevens Point/Plover joint SWAT team, the Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Unit, and the Stevens Point Fire Department.
A search of the home uncovered 180 grams of drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine, totaling about $30,000 in street value.
One man is being sought in connection with the suspected drug activity in the home. Brandon V. Smith, 32-year-old, is currently wanted by officers.
He faces charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, according to Lt. Dana Williams from SPPD.
Smith’s criminal convictions include a drug felony in 2016 and neglecting a child in 2020.
