January 23

Homeless: Police were called to Arby’s, 5700 Hwy. 10 East, at 2:31 p.m., to conduct a welfare check on a known homeless woman.
Homeless: Police assisted Portage Co. deputies at Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 3:35 p.m. when a known homeless woman was causing a disturbance. No additional details were included in the blotter.

Drunk: Police offered a ride home to an intoxicated man, 23, after they were asked to conduct a welfare check near Main and Third streets at 12:31 a.m. The man was driven to his mother’s house.
Domestic: Police were called to the 2800 block of Minnesota Ave. at 1:30 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. A 42-year-old man was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct.
Homeless: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a man inside the South Point Laundromat, 2501 Church St., at 3:05 a.m. The man said he was only seeking shelter from the cold.
Nice try: Police were called to a single-vehicle crash near Harmony Ln. and Indiana Ave. at 3:08 a.m. The caller reported a vehicle crashed into a ditch, but no one was inside. Officers found a woman a short time later and arrested her on a first-offense OWI.
Trespassers: Police were called to the 700 block of Division St. at 11:26 a.m. when someone reported four men were trespassing at a store there. No additional details were included in the blotter.
No license, no drive: Police stopped a 17-year-old boy for driving without a license near Fourth Ave. and West St. at 2:20 p.m. The boy was cited. His mother was also in the car.
Sexual assault: Someone called police at 5:04 p.m. to report a sexual assault, after the fact, which occurred in a vehicle. A 23-year-old man was arrested as a result.
Doper: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 8:03 p.m. by an employee who reported a man and a woman, both 20, who were smoking marijuana in a vehicle. The man was cited for possession of marijuana and referred to the DA’s office for a charge of possession of hallucinogenic drugs.

Busted at the bar: Police were called to a disturbance at Rookies Sports Pub, 3425 Church St., at 1:44 a.m. One man was cited for disorderly conduct, and another was arrested for the same charge.
Homeless: Police conducted a welfare check on a homeless 63-year-old man at Politos Pizza, 960 Main St., at 3:30 a.m. Details were redacted from the blotter.
