Police and Sheriff calls, April 17-19

April 17
Warrant: Police arrested a 32-year-old woman with an open warrant from the 2500 block of Nebel St. at 9:25 a.m.
Speed: A 52-year-old woman was issued a written warning for speeding near Main and Prentice streets at 10:04 a.m.
School issues: Police were called to Ben Franklin Jr. High, 2000 Polk St., at 10:22 a.m., at 10:40 a.m., and at 10:55 a.m. for reasons that were redacted from the blotter.
Arrested in the roundabout: Police arrested an 18-year-old man with an active warrant from the North Point Dr. roundabout at 11:36 a.m., but additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Arrested: Police arrested a 46-year-old woman from the 1700 block of Spruce St. at 3:02 p.m. while they were conducting a welfare check. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Disturbance: Police were called to the 1400 block of Strongs Ave. at 3:31 p.m. for an incident that occurred on an elevator between two residents there. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Suspicious: Police were called to the downtown library, 1001 Main St., at 4:09 p.m. when a 57-year-old woman claimed to have seen a man put a gun in his pocket. He did not threaten her, but she said she was a drug informant and felt that the man knew her.
Violator: A 23-year-old man was arrested for violating a 72-hour no-contact order on the 3300 block of Church St. at 4:14 p.m.
Hit and run: A 28-year-old man reported that someone hit his car and then fled on the 1200 block of Main St. at 6:46 p.m.
Saga: Police were called to a home on the 900 block of Second St. at 7:19 p.m. when two people were arguing. Police had been there several times before for the same reason.
Disturbance: Police responded to the 3600 block of Siminois St. at 7:50 p.m. for reasons that were redacted from the blotter.
Lights: A 17-year-old girl was issued a written warning for driving without headlights near Hwy. 10 East and Brilowski Rd. at 9:03 p.m.
April 18
Drunk: Police were called to the downtown Square at 1:54 a.m. for a 25-year-old woman who was complaining that her designated driver was intoxicated.
Bet gone bad: Police were called to Kim’s Barrel Inn, 1001 Second St., at 1:57 a.m. for a dispute over a bet on a game of pool.
Wireless problems: A 48-year-old woman called police to the 2600 block of Bush Ct. at 9:26 a.m. to report that an unknown person logged into her wifi several times. She wanted it documented in the hopes that Spectrum would provide her with a new router.
Who knows: Police responded to a disturbance on the 2800 block of Center St. at 11:30 a.m. but all details were redacted from the blotter.
Fake: Police were called to Investors Community Bank, 5517 Vern Holmes Dr., at 3:17 p.m. when a bank manager reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill.
Dope: A 48-year-old woman reported to police that she’s found 13 grams of marijuana in a fishing area near the Red Bridge on Casimir Rd. at 3:23 p.m.
Kids acting like…kids: A 32-year-old woman called police to the 2700 block of Indiana Ave. at 5:34 p.m. to complain that her daughters were riding their bikes in the area and got into a confrontation with some other children, and they all “ended up slapping each other.”
Disturbance: Police responded to the 2600 block of Ellis St. at 7:11 p.m. for a reported disturbance but all details were redacted from the blotter.
Window: A 20-year-old called police to the 1200 block of Washington Ave. at 11:19 p.m. to report someone had broken his window. Additional details were redacted from the blotter.
Busted: Police were called to the 700 block of Soo Marie Ave. for a welfare check on a 17-year-old boy. Officers seized several vape devices and a large amount of cash. The boy was also arrested on a burglary charge.
April 19
Drunk driving: A 22-year-old man was arrested for OWI first offense at 2:38 a.m. after he crashed near Briggs and Smith streets.
Repeat offender: A 46-year-old woman was arrested on numerous bail jumping charges after she was caught shoplifting at Kwik Trip, 3258 Church St., at 6:14 a.m.
Burglary: Police were called to Shell Gas Station, 2733 Stanley St., at 7:45 a.m., for a reported break-in.
Domestic: Police responded to the 3900 block of Doolittle Dr. at 10:22 a.m. when a caller reported a domestic disturbance. A 27-year-old woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Crash: A 74-year-old man was injured after crashing into a tree near Dixon and Reserve streets at 6:14 p.m.
Overdose: Police assisted paramedics on the 400 block of West Clark St. at 8:59 p.m. for two people who were transported for medical treatment.
Domestic: A 29-year-old man was arrested following a domestic disturbance on the 700 block of John’s Dr. at 10:03 p.m.
Puncher: A 40-year-old man called police to Main and Third streets at 10:42 p.m. to report that an unknown man in black had punched him in the face. The man was not in the area, and the man was advised to avoid him if he returned.
