Point Brewery to host free block party in June

The Stevens Point Brewery has announced it will host a free block party in June.
Dubbed the “Point Brewery Block Party,” the outdoor event will host live music from the Menomonee Falls-based country band Stestin and Lace, and a slew of food trucks.
The block party will run from 3-7 p.m. on June 12. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs.
For the Point Brewery team—and the local community—the time feels right for an outdoor event.
According to Brewery Operating Partner Joe Martino, “We’ve been very fortunate to continue operations all through 2020. With the guidance of public health officials, we are extremely happy to offer a live event to thank the community for supporting us, and also our employees for stepping up during a challenging year.”
Drink tickets will be available for a variety of Point Beers, Ciderboys Hard Ciders, Whole Hog Brews, and the brewery’s new Tea Runner Hard Iced Teas. Drink tickets will be available to purchase by anyone 21 or older at the event.
As a way to thank local first responders, the brewery is “extending some props,” according to Julie Birrenkott, marketing manager.
Area first responders are encouraged to pick up a voucher for two free Block Party drink tickets, along with one free 12-pack of Tea Runner Hard Iced Tea. The free gifts will be available for anyone with official police, firefighter, paramedic/EMT, or hospital identification now through Friday, June 11, at the Point Brewery Gift Shop during normal business hours.
“We made a point of giving back to first responders early in 2020,” Birrenkott said. “Heading into summer, we want to make sure they know we appreciate everything they do every day.”
Birrenkott said the brewery expects all attendees to be respectful and socially distance, to stay home if they feel sick, and wear a face covering when applicable.
The Point Brewery and its gift shop are located at 2617 Water St. in Stevens Point.
