Plover VFW to host annual steak feed fundraiser

PLOVER — The Plover Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10262 Rifle Squad will hold its annual Steak Feed Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the post, located at 2970 Hickory Drive.

The menu features a 12-ounce ribeye steak cooked to order over a charcoal fire, along with fresh corn on the cob, baked potato, garden salad, dessert, and a choice of milk or coffee. One tap beer or rail drink is included with each meal.

Tickets for the event are priced at $30 and can be purchased in advance at the post after 2 p.m. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. For more information, contact the post at (715) 341-8414.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward purchasing uniforms and equipment for the Plover VFW Rifle Squad. This specialized unit provides military honors at funerals for fallen veterans, conducts ceremonies at local cemeteries on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and supports scholarships for a high school senior and an outstanding cadet from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point ROTC program.
