The Plover post office will hold a job fair on Wednesday.
The U.S. Postal Service’s “Delivering for America” program is a 10-year plan to rebuild its workforce as one that is “more stable and empower,” according to a news release from the USPS last week. The agency plans to offer additional on-the-job training and support, as well as competitive wages and benefits.
The post office in Plover will hold a job fair on Oct. 20 from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. With the holiday season approaching, immediate openings are available for the positions of rural carrier associate, assistant rural carrier, and city carrier assistant. USPS staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide additional information about the openings.
Starting wage begins at $18.51 an hour with $27.77 for overtime.
Applications are accepted online only atwww.usps.com/careers. Applicants must be 18 years of age, and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Seasonal, part-time, or full-time job-seekers are welcome, the news release said.
